In the comments there’s a few mentions of deferring to John, or as they put it ‘people more knowledgable than myself’. Proper forelock-tugging, working class forever, puddle drinkers who wouldn’t break a mould if their lives depended on it. Yes, sir. No, sir. Don’t rock the boat and know your place. Some people are just contended drones marking days until death’s clammy hand gets a grip of their shoulder. We’re traditionally a lower league club you know. Arseholes. “we are where we are it’s our place in the football league until such a time we find that little bit of magic on and off the field” KNOW YOUR PLACE PLEB!

Honestly, at this point I dream of being bury. At least it looked like fun for a while, and we’re going bust either way.

It is thoroughly depressing. Maybe the club deserves to be what it is? An unambitious one treading water in the basement division but with fans content that it could be worse. Our owner isn't great but could be worse. Our CEO isn't pulling up any trees but could be worse. We're playing league football at least, it could be worse. Welcome to Bradford 'it could be worse' City. If City were a boxer that would be their nickname, the plucky journeyman, the sort of fighter handpicked for Tommy Fury

Reading articles like that and the responses and it just makes me want to give up. The club’s going down in instalments and as long as they can wheel out an old favourite to rationalise it all then everyone’s happy again. Our fanbase has an oddly sizeable section that seem to love suffering. They’re the kind of cucks that spend most weekends dressed as a gimp and locked in a tea chest while a fat woman gorges on broccoli and farts through the keyhole. Maybe it is the fans to blame after all. Asking for friend, as you do but don't happen to have a contact number for this woman?

The WOAP clan are what's wrong with our fans and club, they enjoy the humiliation and failures because it gives them a sense of belonging. They're all cowards, afraid of coming out of their comfort zone.
I'd love to spin the jaws of the lot of them starting with the biggest arrogant cunt of the lot of them.

So all the good players were signed by Gent and all the shit ones were signed by Hughes. But Hughes was doing a good job to get a team of shit players to the playoffs. Does anyone have a tramadol?

There's comments like this -
"However, if Stephen Gent is ultimately responsible for recruitment and it is as woeful as supporters claim then Mark Hughes must have been doing a phenomenal job to get Bradford City to a play-off semi-final and he should never have been sacked."
That's some specious reasoning, you could immediately counter by saying Cook and Lewis were mainly responsible for x number of goals, saves, wins and points, putting us in a PO spot, most fans would probably admit they carried the team in many games. They haven't performed this season as well as so we're nowhere near that position.

Jason is disappointed again. The problem with Jason telling people he’s disappointed is that it presumes the person he’s addressing gives a shit.

How to solve a problem like Bradford CityThe best article on WoaP in a long time. Any one of those dullard bastards who obtusely misrepresent the other side of the argument as, ‘you just want the chairman to throw money at it’ just need directing to this article. We don’t need money, we need an owner that cares and a CEO that has the capability to run the club instead of his mouth. It’s really not a lot to ask for.

Very good article.
Sparks had the right idea first time with the DoF model. Who knows if he picked the right one, he didn’t get long enough before being thrown in the bin for Adams, but it was the right idea. Instead we’ve just lurched from clueless manager to clueless manager and I’d genuinely love to know how much of our bloated squad of dross is from the managers and how much from Gent.
As for money, having the club’s playing budget come from the club’s playing income doesn’t necessarily bother me so much, although I’d like to see Rupp invest in transfer fees for players with promise- he made three or four times his investment on Wyke, after all. But Rupp should be investing behind the scenes- training ground, recruitment staff, academy staff. As we don’t have a top tier academy the model of selling kids at 14 makes sense, but not all of our best kids will be snapped up at 14 and we need some sort of route to the first team. Formalise links with the likes of Eccleshill or Thackley or Farsley or whoever, get them playing games.

The win at FGR allays my fears that we probably could go down this season. I'm just watching Eastleigh vs Reading at the moment in the FA Cup on ITV. It's a good thing we aren't going down because we wouldn't come back up on first time of asking. Eastleigh are a midtable team but they look great and are dominating Reading up to press. Defensively look very sound and would batter us.
