How do you think we'll get on this year then? Couple more in and out you'd imagine. The spine of the team is my worry at the moment but there are promising signs. Already looks like we're having a proper pre season which is a 1000 x better than last season's debacle.

Up as fooking champions. We need 2-3 more in, but Bowyer will sort it.
This part of the season is as good as it gets. Optimism abounds. Anything seems possible.
90 mins into the season proper, when Cambridge have taken an early lead and then defended it like shothouses for the rest of the game, reality will hit home.
For now, we can dream.

I shall decide when the window closes, we still need at least 1 left winger and a proper hard man in the middle.
O Donnell
Mellor Longridge Paudie Everton whatshisname
Scannell Palmer Hard man Proper left winger
Vaughan Donaldson/ Doyle
That new keeper Henley O Cunter Akpan Donaldson/Doyle Ismael McCartan
That team should be good enough to piss this league

As things stand midtable.
Recruit a decent CM and LW and Bowyer has absolutely no excuses.

From our current squad O'Donnell, Mellor, POC, Scannell, Palmer, Vaughan and Doyle are players I'd happily take if we were pushing for promotion out of league 1 so in that regard Bowyer does have some quality to work with.
The key position for me is DM. Teams, even the shit ones, will walk straight through us if we're lining up with the likes of Akpan/Anderson/Devine. Sort that out and we have the makings of a good team.

As it stands I think we can squeak the play-offs. A little work on that midfield though and we could fly.
Now, more than ever, we’re in desperate need of flushing at least two turds.

This team has some of the vital attributes that were lacking last season: height and physicality at the back, pace and all out attack on the flanks and 2 goal scorers up front. Bowyer knows what's required and has recruited with a plan in place. Add in the recruitment of a proper fitness and goalkeeper coach (both of who have been there and done it) along with a carefully thought out pre season schedule and preparations atleast have been absolutely spot on. A complete contrast to last seasons shambles.
I just hope we can move one or two on because I don't think the squad is quite ready yet.

They've kept most of their squad from last season and have made a couple of quality additions. Plus they've no Gregg Abbott now.
