You'll notice I refrained from typing L666ds or L**ds. That's because, for the most part, I try not to be a fucking bell end.
Now then, I am looking to buy a house. I work in Morley. My budget is max 165k. Which areas would you be looking at if you were me? I currently live in Horsforth but would only be able to buy a slum property for that kind of money here, so I am looking elsewhere, the only preference being to avoid somewhere teaming with pikeys, vandals and hoodlums. My commute is shit at the moment but I don't necessarily mind that too much - but journeys of over 1 hour would destroy my soul eventually.
I recognise that this is not the most interesting subject but in case anyone did have some recommendations then I would be happy to hear them.

Great news that you're moving, we don't like your type around here. If you need a van let me know.

Depends what you want? Do you want countryside or more urban? Half and half. Ideally countryside with train station.

Half and half. Ideally countryside with train station. Saltaire? I think the commute to Morley would be a bit too shit for Saltaire to be attractive. I would have to go through Bradford at rush hour and I don't think I could cope with that every day.

I live in Clayton and work (mostly) in Sheffield. You get used to the commute and find all sorts of ways to avoid the traffic.

Up this way: Denholme's full of oddballs but Oxenhope is nice. Cullingworth's decent too. Wilsden's slated to double in size but Harden's a nice place to live.
For value for money and the right balance between ronkers/decent people and with plenty going on and a good few pubs you could do a lot worse than Haworth. I reckon you could be in Morley in Forty five minutes from this end.

Holmewood. Great for your commute and full of really nice people, definitely not rife with incest and people who keep horses in the kitchen.

Which way are you thinking?

Can he get a house within his budget? 'Luxury houses in easy reach of amenitites and great motorway links, fantastic schools and cheap drugs'. What more could anyone ask for? very under rated area.
