I've no doubt it was a real tough game against real tough opposition, presence, point gained, still lost only 5 etc

Same old story. Little creativity going forward.
Law needs a break, slowed everything down. He never seemed to be in the left where I assume he was supposed to be which left Meredith isolated.
Billy Clarke was poor and kept giving it away, definitely didn't make us tick tonight.
Overall they came with a game plan and it, largely, worked. We were pretty much frustrated all game.

That's the way I saw it. Law guilty of being abacus bead time and again, I like the lad but if he isn't moving us forward he offers nothing. Hobbers view of Law is my view of Clarke, I've never really seen anything in him. Sure he's technically decent enough on his left peg but does nothing with his right. Gets caught in possession too much and is physically bullied. I think a lot of fans just don't realise how much Marshall carries the attack for us.

The usual gompers banging on about Clarke. I hardly remember him being on the pitch last and as for Port Vale, arguably his worst game for the club. Another player whose reputation inflated while he was injured.

I could not disagree any more strongly. our attacking threat went out of the window when he went off against Vale, and when he was subbed off against Dons we didn't change our play, we just tried to play to Jones in the same way we did to Clarke but it didnt work because theyre two different types of player. I know that doesn't say anything for Clarke's ability more that we can't adapt, but I think we need him in the side.

We won after taking Clarke off at Port Vale, his was the worst individual performance of the season. Watch the game back, nothing he does goes right. He occasionally has a good game but they are few and far between. We will not go up with Billy Clarke as a regular.

he's the best player of his type we have at our disposal, we can't just go with the normal 442 but with Jones replacing Clarke next to Wyke - we'd lack the link between midfield and attack.
as if we aren't a little over reliant on crosses at it is, with that team it'd be Marshall or bust. if that didn't work we wouldn't have a prayer of getting a result.
Think Moyes' Man Utd team vs Fulham that year where they either drew or lost despite making about 80 crosses.
