he's absolutely right.
If Exeter hadn't imploded we wouldn't have made the play off's, nevermind gone up.
that and the flukey cup run bought him more time than he ever merited on results. awful awful football, negative tactics, it was a fucking chore going to City when he was in charge.
just bollocks. this is why I say he's a fraud, because some miraculous luck and another teams implosion seems to have got thousands of people believing he's some sort of genius manager.
he's a throwback to the fucking seventies. bet he did his coaching badges under John Beck, any money he's a John Beck protege.
his teams were nasty, tall, strong and very physical. they were fit. and they could wallop the ball in the vague direction of a big target man. There's nothing fucking good, or tactical about any of that. nothing at all.

This was always going to happen. Bolton are shit (any team featuring Filipe Morais and Stephen Darby in the Champ must be) and Parky is a terrible manager. He achieved wonders with us but the football 99% of the time was fucking wank. Without Wells and his goals we'd still be fucking about in League Two. The League Cup memories (bar the final) will always stay with me and the fact he led us to it means he takes an enormous amount of credit but he still served up some shite in the League and I was ecstatic when he left. I can't believe Bolton gave him a new deal. Nail on the fucking head Loftus. We were bang average in the League, during our League 2 promotion season. Look at the players we had. Meredith, Davies, McArdle, Darby, Doyle, Jones, Reid, Wells. I won't mention Hanson. Fuck me, that side should've steam rollered its way to the title. We were nowt special in the league when we were promoted from league 2. Some of the games were absolutely dire. The end product was successful with promotion but fuck me the football at times was appalling.

It was absolutely dire going to watch us. We won plenty of times but it didn't feel like it. So dull and flat. And then that play off semi final - I still don't believe we ever wanted to win that. I can't recall a more half hearted attempt at winning a game.

No one will ever convince me we wanted to win those play off games - we were fucking shocking both legs. even the second leg when we NEEDED goals - we barely mustered an attack. we didn't look as if we wanted to score. i was sat there watching it completely bemused by what I was seeing. it made no sense.

I always thought PP was secretly spoken to by Bolton long before the play off games, when it was obvious they were going down before it was even confirmed. They knew we were in takeover talks and waiting until the end of the season to make a serious offer would be the right moment. From there, aserious offer was made after the first Millwall game; that second leg was the most miserable performance I've seen us put in in a game where so much was at stake. Not bringing another forward on till about the 70th minute, bringing Tom Thorpe on at HT etc... if there ever was a game where you had to just go for it - even if you ended up conceding a few more - it was that one. Takeover would have been in the final stages then, so waiting for a sit down with the new owners would be a perfect excuse to PP to agree to leave. That could well be a load of bollocks. But something stunk about the way PP left and everything going at that time. 2 days after he met the new owners, said everything was rosy, then took the whole backroom with him. I hope he stays at Bolton. He's going down as a complete and utter disaster.

Players who'd agreed to sign, or renew contracts were advised to hold off until a certain person got back from holiday..... And you wonder why Edin isn't a big fan.

A win for Barnsley or Burton next week and Bolton are down, scruffy cunts! Theyre one behind both but due to goal difference they have to win themselves and even then it might not be enough 🤣
