Too many people were quick to get suspicious of the owners motives but it's simple in terms of they can only do well out of us if we're doing well on the pitch. They can't "fuck us over" without fucking themselves over a hundred times worse. Agree with B147 though, chuck a million or so quid at us budget wise and you more them make your money back should we progress to the Championship next season. The fact there are no big hitters (Sheffield Utd and Bolton) reduces the risk massively. Agree mostly except I think it's tougher this season and there's a lot more teams with potential to spend big than there was last season with Bury already proving it Agree to an extent but I think 99% of people would have picked a Bolton/Sheff U top 2. I don't see any obvious stand out candidates this coming season.

Unless somebody gets a grip of Kodi then Sky and BT aren't going to be in a position to offer anything like this latest deal next time around.
Plus, SkySports subscriptions have reached tipping point I reckon. Is there any way to get stats on SkySports subscriber by annum? I'd be interested to see if there's any downward trend as the subscriptions rise and Kodi becomes more popular.
