Needs changing or we're getting nothing from this game.

Have we had a shot on target yet?

Hughes's ego wants to win at Wembley and not get top 3

How can we have the top scorer in the league and yet have so many games where we don’t even get a shot on target

You can't win games of football of you don't fucking shoot at the oppositions goal.

Only saw the second half. Looked like a hard earned point to me. Walsall better than expected, not sure going with an unchanged starting 11 helped us. Hughes is predictably safety first, but a point away from home is not to be sniffed at. Season wasn’t decided tonight.

Walsall were much the better team but they didn't have to try too hard to be. If we win Saturday it'll be seen as a good point but it was fucking dull again.

That was a bit tongue in cheek, but 10 points from 12 is fucking amazing at this stage of the season. Would hope Hughes changes it up on Saturday tho.

I do wonder how we are where we are in the table. I know we're not losing loads but you it's a head scratcher when we don't look like winning.

A point out of that performance is the only positive I can take. Quite clearly Hughes set us up to get that and only that. The cunt better try harder on Saturday cos I'm not driving 5.5 hours there and 5.5 hours back to watch us not even try to win.

You’d hope that his thinking was “3 wins in 8 days, keep it tight, then rest and go for the win at Newport”.

While a point might not be bad in the grand scheme of things in isolation it was another poor performance (the second o the trot) and yet another where we didn’t register a shot on target. We’ve got too many of these in us.
The more I think about what 147 said about the playoffs the more I think he’s right. If we made the playoff final I think the occasion would bring out the worst in Hughes’ safety first instincts.
We’re flirting with the autos and they’ve yet to inspire confidence in me that we’re getting out of this godawful league.

Positives - defensively strong. Another clean sheet, 2nd lowest goals conceded, conceded 1 in 6 games. In context of the run of games we're on it's a another point.
Negatives - turgid attack. Too slow at decision making when breaking / in the final third.
Good point about the play offs - we seem similar to 2017 in that regard. While we are mean as a defensive until we don't have that attacking spark in open play, and if Cook doesn't score no-one else looks like they can.
