First time I've listened to post match on iFollow. Who's this gomper on the phone-in? Apparently Derbyshire has proved everyone wrong, Stubbs with his first City goal etc.

Could be the turning point of the season. Got to follow this up on Tuesday now. I think we win our next 2 games, Barrow have begun to tail off and while Tranmere don't know what Tranmere are gonna do next I'm confident we beat them. I just hope simplesparky uses his head and gets this team playing now and uses this game as a springboard.

Seems to me that we're employing "tactical fouls" in the final third as a defensive technique on the assumption that our organised defence against the dead ball is better than our scramble defence. I'd say that it's not sufficiently better to justify it, if it's any better at all.

Scored now but doesn’t change the fact he’s had a fucking awful game. I'm gonna start slagging off the euro millions draw I think Hob wishes you slagged his shares off

I honestly don’t know what our fans are watching sometimes. I genuinely thought he was dreadful yesterday.

Are you going to get promoted off performances like that? Probably not. Great result on the day and something to build on? Absolutely.
The first one was a good hit from where he was and the third a superb clinical finish - they weren't flukes - it's what we've been missing and we need, certainly to support Cook's goals.
A play off place at least is ours to throw away, apart from the top 2 it's open season below that. What is there, 18 left? I don't fancy us to be trying to close a gap in 10 games time so with the 2 home games this week and the games in hand we have to start putting results together.

The thing is the rest of this league are worse than us. It's Hughes tactics and game management that is the reason we're not pissing the league. The squad albeit not amazing are still better than the rest of the league.

I do agree with your analysis of Hughes tactics, despite yesterdays result its why Stevenage are looking like automatic favourites. Theres no reason we can't go toe to toe with any team in this very poor division, but you have to realise that possession based stuff in league 2 isn't really that successful, much better off playing the percentage game and getting the ball down field quicker and simpler. Like we did yesterday. And for all his experience as a manager, Hughes has to admit he got it wrong dropping the second best scorer in the division. I mean, what sort of manager drops a guy after 1 bad game and the games before that played a style which meant Cook got zero service.

I think they said Stevenage's defence have scored 8 so far while ours have scored none. Attacking set pieces are such a huge threat at this level but we're extremely weak at them. It's a reason why they're in the top 3 and we're not. Having that extra threat which is appropriate for the level we're at and for all his experience MH won't be used to it.

All that poncing about at the back will not get you promoted from league 2.

Hughes had the nerve to claim him dropping him was a good move and he's come back stronger as a result. Arrogant cunt.
