Penalty aside i thought Angol did well in terms of his link up play. Watt I'd have as a 7 - several times he managed possession well in right spaces. I actually thought FCD still looked a bit suspect first half. Improved second, but that's 2 games in a row that teams have targeted him. And he can't cross a ball to save his life. Still a 7. In fact, no one below a 7 for me tonight. But yeah, Vernham was different gravy. That was a Championship level performance from him. I thought FCD was ok, he had a better game than Ridehalgh, tried to put Carter in to the stands and laid on the pass for Cook’s third. He’s no Stephen Darby but he’s 19, Ridehalgh should be making him look what he is, an inexperienced kid at a fourth tier side and he doesn’t.

Ridehalghs problem is that like Meredith he gets the wrong side of his man and gets turned very easily. Unlike Meredith he's not quick enough to get back at the player and isn't overly brilliant at tackling. Going forward he's fine and his touch and passing was improved last night but ultimately he's a defender and needs to learn how to defend better.

I like Ridehalgh. Good crosser of the ball, committed in the challenge, decent in position, defends the far post well. He isn't quick but he's clever, he gives free kicks away when he's caught out. I think he's fine. We look more vulnerable down our right than our left

He's aware of his own limitations and if someone needs kicking, blocking or whatever, he'll do it. I like him, teams need players like him.

Was taking to Fat Ade about him and thats what he alluded to. If someone's technically better than him he's getting stopped by any means necessary.
