I googled. Hit double figures - 10 - once. Anyone know much about him? I'm not like the gompers who pay attention to random players at random clubs.
*I realised I spelled his name wrong on the poll. Don't joke about it like they would on the other forum.

We nearly signed him a few years ago, remember when he was tweeting pictures from Cedar Court, but we managed to mess it up some how.
Another meh signing for me.

Was supposed to be brimming with potential when he first broke through but a piss weak career record of one goal every 5.3 games since then kind of suggests he never fulfilled his early promise. Given that he’s now twenty eight it looks unlikely he ever will. It’s an easy ‘meh’ from me.

A quick read of the Walsall forum and I’m switching to a ‘miss’.
I hope Adams is as good as his CV because our recruitment looks nothing special at all.

I wonder what choice it is for the role we needed - a week before the season starts, one year deal, seen it described as a 'point to prove' signing... doesn't strike me as being a first, second or third choice on the list when we needed another striker for a good while now.
Im prepared to not be completely cynical though, I'd like to think it is a signing based on homework and not what's left in the Quick Sale Still Fresh section.

Shite panic signing because we were out of other options. Squad depth cost us last year and it will do again this year if Lavery or Kelleher are required to be anything other than a sub.

I think he'll do alright, Angol's form pre season seems to have changed the plans. Experience to rotate in and out of the team to give Cook a break when required. Adams does seem to know what he's doing.

I feel like at some point I heard this guy was going to be great. But like nearly 10 years ago and it clearly never happened.
Looking at his goals I assume he is more out wide than a CF (fucking hope so anyway). Never hit more than 6 in a season from wiki.
Weirdly low number of games for a 28 year old too. Means he's either a dick, a crock or just shit. Given our track record in recent years I'm banking on all three!

Even something as basic as running about a bit and scoring a penalty is an upgrade on Samuels, Kurtis and Burrell. I mean it’s not scoring goals to take you to promotion but I guarantee Width of a Post will be optimistic about it.

Hang about, he's spent the last few weeks on trial at Hartlepool and Oldham? And neither of them offered him anything?
Fuck me, bigger miss than I first thought.

Failed almost everywhere it won't stop here. My optimism has lasted all of 2 weeks once it gets to heavy pitch and injuries kick in we're going to drop like a stone. It's a massive "we're out of money" signing.

Looks like Oldham are choosing Jigsaw over Lavery: Oldham’s owner is as bad as Rahic isn’t he? I suspect Samuels is cheaper than Lavvers and that’s why they went for him, but choosing one of the worst strikers I’ve seen in a City shirt over the saviour of our season is not doing my confidence in the recruitment man any good. Cook apart, has he chosen a decent striker yet?

Looks like Oldham are choosing Jigsaw over Lavery: Oldham’s owner is as bad as Rahic isn’t he? I suspect Samuels is cheaper than Lavvers and that’s why they went for him, but choosing one of the worst strikers I’ve seen in a City shirt over the saviour of our season is not doing my confidence in the recruitment man any good. Cook apart, has he chosen a decent striker yet? Did he really choose Cook? Unless Adams was even more involved with our transfer policy than we’re led to believe Cook was kind of chosen for him. Plus he pursued Stockton who, although had a decent season for Adams at Morecambe, had had an unremarkable career up to then. Maybe he’s got the same blind spot as Parkinson and can’t find a striker to save his life. Fortunately Adams’ liking for players to do the jobs they’re there for means that attackers are more expected to focus on attacking than they were under Parky so hopefully Adams can carry on getting a bit more out of average attackers than more defensive managers. As for the others, Angol at least has a small reputation for being a bit of an enigma and having some ability but rarely, if ever, showing it. For Angol I’ve got a tiny glimmer of hope. Lavery, on the other hand, has nothing in his recent past to suggest he’ll be a good signing. He looks like a late, rushed signing purely to avoid accusations of desperately shallow squad depth up front. When you look at our forward line and consider the possibility of an injury to Cook then it quickly looks pretty desperate.
