A welcome change. The squad are all in at the start of pre season and will get loads of match practice together. Also fitness and strength seem to be high on the priority list for Adams.
Nothing groundbreaking or reinventing the wheel about this but pretty new for our shambles. Finally we're doing the simple things that can make all the difference.

But that means we've signed everyone that we're going to.
Bollocks.

Parker basically saying that we’ll still sign at least a striker. I’m hoping for Evans out, a top striker and RB brought in and maybe a couple of the young lads loaned out.

We’re desperate for a quality striker. We wouldn’t be quite so desperate had we not signed Angol.

What’s the latest line from the club on transfers? It seems to have gone a bit quiet so are we done now?

What’s the latest line from the club on transfers? It seems to have gone a bit quiet so are we done now? Has to be at least one striker coming in, Cook and Angol backed up by Eisa, Vernham and Crankshaw is worse than Samuels, Donaldson, Guthrie, Novak and Clarke. I want this one to be a mic drop moment, not some has been from Solihull or Plymouth reserves or a 17 year old from QPR’s academy.

I think Songo’o was held back from being announced as the ace in the pack and that’s as high as the standard will get. He looks a good signing but I agree with you in that we need something special adding up front otherwise it’s looking threadbare up there.

I heard a rumour we're getting Hossannah back and a striker from Leeds kids team. Wouldn't say no to hossannah though

I had that feeling about Songo’o too, it’s a lot of eggs in one basket if Cook gets injured.

We're looking good pre-season but we're still a couple of injuries away from being exposed. An injury to POC, Cooke or Cook and we've no quality like for like replacements.
We're still 2 or 3 players short of being a really good squad with less than a week until KO.
Fingers crossed we're not done yet.

I think the squad is decent, not great but decent and with the Adams factor we could make the playoffs. However with three additions at CB, CM and striker we could be looking at top three. I think that we’ll get the striker regardless but there might have to be some departures to get the other two. Hopefully we can move Evans on and loan out a couple of the youngsters to make room.

I don't think Adams fancies Vernam or Evans and wouldn't be surprised to see either or both leave. Take Canavan out of that defence and it crumbles, the quality just isn't there. For all the heart that POC has he isn't the same player with canavan out. LB position is going to be our achilles heel this season and we definitely need another striker.

The only way I can see Evans leaving is if he’s paid off. Dreadful last season and 34 before the current season ends. At CB, I’ve not seen Kelleher play, but released by a conference side doesn’t give me much hope. Staunton should be out on loan to gain experience but he’s probably the main back up. It’s weak, a good transfer window on paper but like January, dig a bit and the squad still isn’t there.

He’s really not doing young Ryan any favours there.

That said he only managed 5 in 22 for Carlisle, so hardly a marquee signing. Can't see us fighting tooth and nail... so if he can get more money at Barrow then good luck to him.

Agree, it’s no big deal really. I reckon Mr Hornby is just using our name to win a bit of kudos with his own fans. We should take our team there and bum them 3-0, that’ll put this right.
