Anyone bothering? As it stands I'm going to give it a miss again. Was going to treat the kids my parents and Gran to suite tickets this season with the money I'd saved during lockdown but I can already see its going to be wasted. Little un keeps banging on about going down the road to watch Hartlepool so might just take him to a few of them.
I've got absolutely no trust in Sparks to do the right thing. How can a man who learned everything from Rhodes and Rahic have any knowledge in success? Gave a failing manager a new contract then sacked him, hired youth coaches ( like Rahic) slapped a contract in front of them after a good run. And for all the talk of a good Jan transfer window he hired a man who's transfers put scunthorpe in the bottom 10 of the country and only gave us Canavan and Cook (who's been desperate to sign for us for 2 or 3 years anyway) who have been anywhere near good enough for us.
Its going to take something very special and very out of character for this club to shift an appropriate amount of season tickets in the summer

Has no appeal to me at all, even a promotion in this cesspit of a division feels hollow. I actually believe Sparks does want success but there are some massive decisions to be made because i've now kinda lost faith in trueman and sellars. The approach to the last three games has left me completely cold, i ain't buying season tickets on the back of that. They got us out of tricky situation but really bottled the opportunity dropped at their feet.

Sparky is to some extent between a rock and a hard place and it’s his own doing. Sack T&S and we’re still paying them and McCall until the end of next season as well as the new manager. He also starts to get a reputation as a man who gives a contract and then sacks his man shortly afterwards, it’s not giving someone confidence they have the CEO’s backing. On the other hand if he doesn’t sack them he risks his budget with poor season ticket sales, dreadful football and not getting promotion.
Turnbull did what every could see needed doing in January, got rid of the worst, signed some goal scorers and a better centre half than BRE. Most of us on here could have got that right. The rest of his signings are questionable, Vernam and Cranberry can have the benefit of the doubt but Rowe, Burrell, Stevens and Foulds aren’t doing it for me. So for me the jury is out on his ability.
With all of this season tickets are going to be a hard sell for him, getting beaten by Sutton, Harrogate, Barrow, FGR and so on, clubs who were playing Park Avenue or worse a few seasons ago is not attractive. The last few seasons of dog shit on the field have burst the bubble of the cheap tickets big crowd approach. Which means unless Rupp digs deep or Sparky’s rugby mates get some good commercial income, it’s a small budget.
Covid and Rahic will get the blame by the usual apologists along with a cry to give T&S and Rhodes lite a chance to succeed, remember we could have gone out the league if it wasn’t for them, with calls to remember our natural position is in leagues one and two.
I live miles away and can’t afford the time to travel especially mid week, I was tempted to buy a ticket for me and the boy anyway when the T&S train was in full flow. No chance after the last dozen or so games, I’ll not even pay a tenner to watch that at home.

We’re going to need to see a good window underway before there’s much of a take up. There’s still a fair bit of cynicism and doubt among the fans and I honestly don’t think take up will be too impressive without the club showing some intent.
The trouble with that is that the level of intent we’re able to show is entirely dependent on season ticket sales. I predict a repeat of the annual, straight-out-of-junior’s-playbook, rallying of the club mouthpieces but that won’t work forever.

I predict a repeat of the annual, straight-out-of-junior’s-playbook, rallying of the club mouthpieces but that won’t work forever. I was thinking that about the window. January was received well at the time and we signed players who appealed to the fans but some have flattered to decieve or have huge question marks over them (Rowe). Not 'having a go' over these last 3 games has brought back a lot of Bowyer and McCall memories and the mood around is reflective of that era. The comments after the match as well were poor also, a similar level of delusion to McCall near his end - and fans pick up and feed of it. Don't blow smoke up my arse and say we dominated the game last night and could have scored at anytime. People who are putting faith in the managers for next season are doing it on the back of that unbeaten run they had to pull us away from trouble. The games pretty much since Newport have been dire, the same standard to which we saw under McCall. I do not want us to take that into next season. My wife works Saturdays and I wondered if next season was the time I start to take our 4 year old. Not sure at the moment.

Something about our negativity affecting the fans.

Not for me. I can't be arsed to show up to watch the kind of dross we've served up in the last few games.
The fact we're playing teams like Harrogate, Crawley, Barrow is bad enough but the fact we're getting turned over by them is even worse.
I'll say it again, until we get some significant investment we're stuck in this division. Even accounting for how shit it is we still can't muster the players, mindset or infrastructure to to even challenge for the play offs. It's disgraceful. It's pretty much full of non league standard clubs and we can't even mount a challenge.
The rot is here to stay without significant change.

Nope for me. But not because of the performances.
I guarantee that we'll be back in lockdown before the years out - the bastards in charge ain't letting us go that easy. And the idea of being blackmailed to roll up me sleeve for a hit of bill gates juice just so I get to watch that shite don't appeal neither.

Can someone add a poll?
Ryan, take note, I’m a 30 year season ticket holder and I aren’t a fair weather fan....you are going to need to convince me, early and big!

Can't wait for the reaction of those who demand season tickets for £5 The usual fuckwits will be outraged at such a preposterous idea as raising season tickets. How dare the club try and raise funds to move into the 21st century.

Like a season ticket price rise will be spent on sensible things like players and a training ground that isn't three feet underwater for half the season. It'll all go on repaying Rupp.

Raising season ticket prices isn’t the answer (though it could be in the longer term). Sparks has to prove he can make a material difference to our status if he wants people to back him. Until then there’s nothing to say that any price increase isn’t just more money to waste. Besides, right now might be shite timing given how weary people are of this particular hobby. If he does go for an increase then he should go steady until the fans start believing he’s capable of pushing us on with it. Any talk of 50% is just madness.

I think it will be £199 which is still incredibly cheap.

I think it will be £199 which is still incredibly cheap. It is but we’re unique in having had such cheap tickets for so long and we’re tight cunts in Bradford so any fair sized increase will be hard to swallow for a portion of a fan base already short on patience. A staged increase would be shrewd I think where we start small (maybe index linked) and, once we see this new regime start to bear fruit, we can go with a bigger one. Right now the product on offer isn’t worth shit and until it improves asking people to pay more for it could be seen as bad timing at best and an insult at worst. As easy as it is to pour scorn on people not wanting to pay more it wouldn’t hurt to handle this carefully. Hit people for £230 and we see no improvement or, worse, we go even further backwards and we could be in serious trouble. Sparks has to factor in whether or not he’s confident he can deliver on the increased expectation that a large percentage rise will bring. Maybe give people hope before charging them for it.
