I won't renounce it because as much as I like Liverpool they don't affect my life to that extent. I think they should genuinely be thrown out of the football league but they won't and this new league won't happen. According to Sky the deal’s done and going ahead but I must admit I find it hard to believe it’s actually going through. Apparently some of the remaining fourteen clubs are already on the backs of the Premier League and the FA to get them suspended immediately regardless. Could be fun. Absolutely they should be and they should be thrown out of the champions leagues and domestic cups

My prediction is that the 'big 6' will have their cake and eat it and there's fuck all that the fans, the TV companies or anyone else can do about it. Money talks and they're the money.

It’ll go ahead. 100%. Because these clubs have closed ranks and the money on offer is so ludicrous, that even if the PL fucks them off, they won’t blink.
Unless the govt intervenes, its happening,

You missed out the bit where leagues one and two get absolutely shafted as part of the deal for the big 6 to play ESL and PL but skip the FA and League Cups depriving us fans of shit teams a day out. Throw banning promotion to the championship in as well, the EFL will do what the PL tell them to do.

Seeing quite a few calls for Celtic and Rangers to take 2 of the places that are vacated. Fuck them too then can start at the bottom like anyone else would have to.

My second team's always been Arsenal. I fucking despise their owner, as most Arsenal fans do, but what can you do? You can't get them out, look at the Glazers at Man Utd. FC United and all that, yet the Yankee cunts are still there.
I'd boot them all out the league.
Spurs, a European Super Power. Fuck me, Aberdeen have as many European trophies as those cunts do. Arsenal haven't won owt in Europe for 30 years, Man City haven't for 50.
Speaking of corrupt money-grabbing turbocunts, I still fucking despise Mark Halsey for screwing Gillingham in that playoff final all those years ago.

That’s why the threat of kicking the clubs from domestic competitions might not be enough to make this idea dead in the water. The fans can revolt, boycott, all the usual shit but it won’t matter if they’re targeting a whole new audience anyway. The clubs have become their brands and that’s what’s currently being sold to the highest bidder. There’s going to be a huge rebalancing of the domestic game though since much of the revenue comes from Sky subscriptions which won’t be worth as much without the ‘big six’. Wages will take a hit and some clubs may go to the wall in the short term. In the longer term though, football might end up better off. It’s long since lost its way and this might set what’s left back on the right track a bit. It’s a good point on rebalancing the game. The top six is almost a closed shop, Leicester do their best and there is a West Ham or Everton who have a good season once in a while, the rest of the PL is either spending loads for mid table mediocrity, Villa, or a yo yo club like Albion, Fulham, Norwich and Swansea. Meanwhile the championship clubs lose £10m a week between them chasing the dream. It needs rebalancing, for every Sheffield United who make it, it’s not really feasible for Bolton or City to get back there without blowing tens or hundreds of millions, that’s not right. The legacy fans don’t matter, PL football is stupidly expensive, but at worst you’re a Newcastle fan on the train or car share to Southampton or Brighton, weekend by the sea with your mates or family in a Travel Inn and even at British Rail prices it’s not that bad. ESL? Return flights to Madrid for you all, shite post Brexit exchange rate, hotels banging the prices up and £200 each to get in. It’s ok once or twice a season, nobody is doing that every game unless you’re retired and loaded. The premier league 'top 6' were already starting to price fans out of the game. Even teams renowned in the past for being loyal to their fans like Liverpool and Man Utd have been hiking their prices up and that was unheard of pre the Americans being in charge. I have watched games in Germany and Poland including accomodation and flights and it was on a par price wise with the expensive tickets at the likes of Arsenal and Spurs, two clubs that were originally set up in working class heart lands. The game wasn't ruined by the ESL proposals, its been torn away from its roots way before that.

There’s a few saying it’s a translation issue or a joke but it does demonstrate how much power they’ll have over the game in their closed shop and where it could end up. Who’d bet against the American style of quarters instead of halves to sell more adverts?

It's happening isn't it? The bastardisation of the game to suit people in other countries that have no connection to a team other than to support who is top. Remember the days when you went to a game with your mates for a few beers and to shout expletives at the opposition? Now more a real life version of playing fifa on the xbox.
