Just one example of how social media darlings can find hidden racism even when it isn't there. What was an idiotic act of criminal damage seen up and down the country over years turned into mass racism. get to the back of the queue to denounce Greater Manchester police as not taking racism seriously.

We talked about cancel culture on here - some said it was a thing, others didn't- but you can see how social media postings can so quickly become weaponised on political, religious and racial issues. And I don't mean the stuff that is blatantly racist becuase people know they can get away with it. But it's so easy for people to twist things to exert pressure on individuals, authorities or organisations by trawling through their history or over analysing ever word they put out to try and get them to trip up. A world where people frantically run to peoples employers, companies they do business with etc. Demanding they take action becuase someone may have a view that's deemed to be a bit spicy. Look at the plebs who see something offensive about the Bradford fire then demand the offender be sacked from their job - for the company its easier to do that quickly and efficiently rather than risk negative press and what that brings. So much emotion, effort and energy is wasted on social media arguments you wonder how sad and boring most of these people are in real life. I don't know why people try so hard to look for it - attention? Me me me culture? The desire to show they're better than everyone else bechase they're finding these things? Who knows.

Just saw this - www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/graffiti-marcus-rashford-mural-not-24546012I thought it said something like 'black xxxx', the n-word or something similarly offensive and abhorrent. Yes, there was racist abuse - but if this wasn't a source of it, it's certainly been portrayed as it. Shows you how something, even if that thing is wrong, can be manipulated into looking like something that it actually isn't.

I saw it and thought the graffiti said "shite a black bastard", though the word black was hard to make out because they'd also drawn an enormous cock and balls on it.
The new Chief Constable of GMP has also made some interesting comments about taking a knee, "woke policing", and how he disagrees with Black Lives Matter.
I'll not be getting the pitchforks out, but if you slag off BLM and taking a knee don't be surprised if some people interpret that as you being a bit racist.

If its not blatant racism its covert racism or institutional racism or thinly veiled racism or wahtever else they think up. Nothing wrong challenging racist literature or racist incidents but there is a worrying trend amongst social media that is actively looking for things that don't exist and when they are proved wrong they drop back on the tried and tested "well its still abusive and you're not taking it seriously' etc. Exactly the thing that Lineker was chased down over, points out a fact which desn't fit the narrative resulting in an ensuing pile on from the bloodthirsty twitter pitchfork gang.

It's almost akin to the 'if you're not with us you're with the terrorists' quote that Bush came out with. I just nod and agree even though there are parts of the knee / BLM I'm very much against. Sometimes you have to read the room and just leave something. Having a moan about it, regardless of justification, isn't going to do you any favours at the moment. It's just not worth the energy getting involved in those spats and not a hill I want to die on. Got enough in my life, in the bigger picture and daily basis to not need to get involved in this. Lucky for me that I've never been the victim of blatant, covert or institutional racism, but at risk of sounding selfish I've got enough shit on my plate to worry about ATM.

That Chief Constable went to the trouble of going on a long rant in the Telegraph about "woke police" and how they shouldn't kneel in front of anyone but The Queen, then explained how he disagreed with everything about BLM. People are going to draw conclusions. Reasonable ones, tbf. It was an odd thing for a Chief Constable of a failing police force to focus on. BLM? It's a meh from me.

Possibly, but looking at the photo of the graffiti I can't think of another word it could be? Shite a sock? Shite a brick? The cock and balls are a thing of beauty mind.

That makes more sense. The cock and balls hid most of the last word. And no, insulting him for missing a penalty isn't racist.

I'm in Twitter jail for calling Piers Morgan a "bad gimp". I was gonna call him a fat cunt but it asked me if I was sure before tweeting. Fucking fannies.

I'm dying to know what Hoochy has done to his classroom for the beginning of next term, it's a subject that really needs adding to twitter cos there's just not enough teachers tweeting about what they've done to their fucking classrooms.

Twitter brings out the full spectrum in people regarding comendy and retardedness. Here's one of many examples. Some bits of sarcastic gold amongst the looking to be angered mob that infiltrates twitter like a cancer. Gervais's analogy of the guitar lessons is spot on, twitter literally is a place where the Bradford Cougars of this world go to shout as loud as they can albeit at a computer screen. It can be a medium that gives you genuine laugh out loud moments and for all its faults is way better than facebook that seems to target the low IQ of the population and instagram which seems to be a place where everyone sucks off celebrities who in turn tell those people how much better their life is via video. Usually in places like Dubai and usually surrounded by expensive designer gear. Tbf, a pug probably would hate going for a run. But also pugs are shit, so I’m still on the fence.
