Let's hope Cooke is back in and someone replaces Clarke, not bothered if it's Vernam or Evans but we can't go into another game with 10 men.
Gotta win this and now with a half decent first 11 we can put a team away with Patrick and Devine in it.

Carlisle's form is absolute dogshit - 2 points from 8 games and last night they needed an injury time equaliser against bottom of the table Grimbsy. They went from being well placed with games in hand to going totally off the rails.
It'll be a measure of T&S's approach to this type of match after the last few which have been a bit flat. We have to set out to attack them and try and get some insensity going - we shouldn't be going there trying to nick a goal then sit on it.

With the players in our squad what is the best and most effective eleven we can play on Saturday? Do we go with Rowe or Cooke upfront? Who plays wide? Could do with another option in central midfield but we don't have one.

Carlisle in shit form and clearly lacking in confidence. Go there and fucking take the game to them and don't settle for a 0-1. I'll be livid if we go there and play like we did last night.

Carlisle are shite. They assembled a team of rejects and defectives and somehow ended up riding high in the league. We’re going to be the latest instalment in their deserved and predictable collapse. Easy win this, 2-0 maybe, nice and comfortable.

We'll bounce back here. We need not only a win, but a performance

Can't see them risking him for the weekend, which begs the question...who plays 10?

Playing him on the right makes him look worse than he is.

bare with me on this one, but i thought it for a while now. Id actually play Sutton in the No 10 role, he looks great when running at people and knows where the goal is plus he has a decent turn of pace. Let Clarke drive the team bus although he will probably be shit at that too just don't let him anywhere near the pitch. FCD back in at RB for a game wont hurt, i think A'OC holding CM with Watt wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. Vernham, Cranshaw or Evans to choose from in the wide area. Cook or Rowe up top either is fine. Rowe as No 10 doesn't work though. If that did work it would give us options to rest a few when needed.

I think Vernam can play anywhere in them top 4 positions and if Rowe starts up front it could suit Vernam using his pace go exploit the space. Anything but fucking Clarke, nice bloke, gives his all, terrible player

I don't mind the Sutton idea but AOC is playing so well at right back I'm just calling that his position now. Who replaces Sutton in midfield is the issue.

That Vernam can play at ten? At Grimsby Vernam played well with Clarke in the 10 role and Vernam out wide left. Thats what we should do.

Not for me, you know what I think of him and he's done absolutely nothing to warrant starting. Vernam to me is the only one I see as having speed, technique and vision and if paired with Rowe could easily exploit the space behind Rowe when he drops in which. Not sure it would work with Cook but I'm all for trying it. Crankshaw is a head down get down the channel and try putting in the mix and Evans although on a decent run of form before his injury I'm not convinced he could create in the 10 spot. Everyone knows I'm not fond of Clarke purely on the basis he does next to nothing. He's had 3 or 4 good halves of football for us since his first spell, and he was only average for us then. I don't know what anyone sees that they think he warrants starting and personally I think he's very lucky we didn't recruit more in January and that he seems to be a nice bloke who everyone behind the scenes likes him.

He never gets a start in his preferred position. The last time he had a spell there was at Grimsby where it acknowledged he had a good season. I'm not advocating he takes over from Cooke but if Cooke doesn't play Rowe will get that shirt. If Rowe is played upfront then Clarke should get the 10 shirt, Vernam hasn't showed anything at all to suggest he could play the 10 role, he's hardly ripping up trees on the wing.
