The thing is, not every rookie manager is going to be a Micky Collins. People like Hurst have been given a shot at some point and it's worked out.
We are in the pub league and Trueman an Sellers seem to be making smart choices. I'm not saying give them a contract now, but let's give them a rolling agreement until we feel they are the right choice.
Already they are way ahead of McCall in terms of talent. Maybe Turnbull will help in January.
Rhodes is still a cunt.

Job’s fucked. The cheap internally appointed CEO will plump for a cheap internally appointed manager. It’s the City way.

Whatever happens, these two cunts have certainly put themselves in the shop window.
My worry is if they go back to coaching the youth team, then bigger clubs with proper academies will come sniffing and tempt them away. Either way they need tying down with decent contracts.

So stability that isn't actually stability?

'We feel this provides clarity'. It doesn't. 'We're grateful for the full backing'. The sort of backing that only comes with a vague, ambiguous interim tenure?

You can still get 6/5 on Trueman at Bet Victor..

Give it half hour and Dewhirst will be around congratulating Sparks on a brave decision which proves he isn’t wet behind the ears or some nonsense.
The point of giving Stuart a 12m contract was apparently to provide assurance to present and incoming players that there was some stability at the club, so why do this? Are we waiting for someone to be sacked, or a takeover?
Aside from that I’m right out of pocket here.

So stability that isn't actually stability? Sends the usual whoppers into overdrive. That statement says fuck all. They could sack them next week.

I've read that twice and I'm still none the wiser. What exactly has been announced?

Interim managers given control of the January window. Isn’t this the sort of shit we’re supposed to be trying to avoid?
I like this quote because it’s just nuts:

Actually no, I get it now. They're in charge for January ensuring we can do the window on the cheap. I imagine Hurst would want a decent amount of funds to bring in some real quality but I can't imagine these two demanding anything. They'll be just happy to be in the job.

We’ve given them it but we haven’t. They’re still in temporary charge without a contract and that could change at any time but this gives us stability. They’re in on recruitment but might not manage the players they help sign. Either we’ve had a last minute knock back, we’re waiting on someone’s situation changing or we’ve got no fucking idea what we’re doing.

Other options are: the sweaty sock at Morecambe, Hurst to knock Grimsby back or, at the risk of repeating myself, we don’t know what we’re doing and we’ve run out of options.

Let’s all calm down, we’re going to fix this in January with ‘important resources’:
Sparks talks shite.
