I think they re his players, it’s his recruitment and he’s shit at it. Where I think the smoke and mirrors occurs is with the budget. I’m not convinced were being entirely honest and haven’t been from the extended pre season. The whole song and dance about voting against the salary cap, complaining about how it would hamstring ‘big’ clubs like ours while not being shrewd enough to spot loopholes that even we did and then, after all that, not even spending up to the cap. None of that makes any sense. I think we expected clubs to go to the wall and always planned to do this season on the cheap. I think we’ve spent as much as our limited income would allow and the only reason we’ve got money to spend in January is the Premier League bailout money allows us to shift money around. Smoke and mirrors. I think I McCall was given a reduced, dangerously low budget but asked to keep it quiet because the season ticket sales would suffer which would be potentially catastrophic for the club. I also think he’s been told if he navigates this shit season he can have a better one after it as a reward hence the seemingly pointless contract extension. McCall thinks his current struggles are saving the club from going pop due to drastically reduced income and that’s why he’s keeping shut, why he’s recruited so lightly and why he’s prepared to take the shit. It all boils down to hiding our true intentions for the season so we can sell more season tickets and muddle through a Covid season that they half expected to get cancelled anyway. It’s a lie to get people to buy season tickets and that’s why the talk of ‘going for it’ has now morphed into ‘not getting relegated will be a success’. It’s probably all bullshit but too much just doesn’t add up. The thing with McCall is that you can read him like a book. He's no poker player. Same with the interviews in the Edin era, you could see that there was a lot not being said but hinted at. He gets angry with the interviewer because he can't say what's really what. He started the season with quite a few central defenders on decent contracts that means they're unlikely to be moved on so no room in the squad for any more. Took ages to find a right back and he's talented but raw. Good going forward, not so much in defence. Still no bite or leadership in midfield. Wings light. Didn't replace the goals when Vaughan left - hamstrung again or not able to convince players to join? He's inherited a shit show, no doubt about that but he hasn't been able to coach the defence onto something solid or put the right players into the gaps he was able to fill. A classic example of McCall being an open book is the Evans signing. Fully admitting he discovered in training that he no longer plays the position Stuart brought him in to fill. You’d be keeping that little nugget to yourself at all costs. Nice Boy pegged it when he signed. He said he couldn’t understand what we’d brought him in for when it was a low priority signing. It only made sense when McCall made the above admission.

Another utility player in the building, but can't play in the positions we are desperate for strengthening. And signing a player but with no real idea where you are gonna play him should be a sacking offence in its own right. Honestly we needed a winger, a centre half, a striker and a central midfield presence and he signs a player that doesn't play any of those. Fuck me sideways with 12 incher.

Look at the level of involvement for Pritchard compared to Cooke and Watt. Also, Watt’s pass completion rate is abysmal.

Pritchard sums up our recruitment. Nobody could tell you what his best position is or what he's good at. He's a shit Will Atkinson.

What do they do and what were they signed for? I know Evans has had a decent lower league career but what purpose was he brought to the club? Same with Samuels, we find out he's the final piece of the jigsaw even though he'd not heard of any interest from Bradford till after the pizza trophy game in which he'd scored. Which means our scouting amounted to signing a player from the game we'd just played a couple of days before. Fuck my life, is there another club in the football league as badly run as ours? Christ even the signings of Novak and Guthrie, apparently Bowyer didn't even know they were signing. Everything we do is a joke.

I know I accuse Pritchard it hiding but his involvement in these stat things always shocks me. He’s supposed to be a left winger who can play centre mid at a push but he’s no winger. Another freeloader. This club needs to get ruthless and quickly.
No more excuses. No more rationalising inadequacy and no more jgbtlffs. If the cunts aren’t contributing get them out. If we as fans need to hound them out then so be it. If the club aren’t going to do it then we have to.
