Lose again, probably have the audacity to score first and give us some hope then make it a hat trick of home defeats. Freefall established.

Just realised Southend play Stevenage next and Mansfield have a winnable game against Crawley. If we lose then we're more than likely going to finish the weekend in the bottom too

I dont give fuck anymore.
Shit players that dont give a fuck and some haven't for a years.
One or two could brake a leg on Saturday and still couldn't give a fuck, it'll do us favor to be honest. With a little luck it'll destroy their career.
Fuck em.

Neither will win tomorrow but fucking hell can you imagine being 4 points adrift by Sunday?

Unfortunately with the position we see ourselves in and with a lot of games before the last chance saloon of the January window, little bits of positive effort such as tonight - though not damaging - count for very little. We need points and results, fast.
McCalls gamble of stubbornly turning down the free market 3 times over the last 6+ weeks has been an own goal on his behalf.
At least in 96 when we knew we looked shit we were able to bring in Waddle, Schwarzer, Steiner and Sundgot - varying quality, but at less there was good quality there, and a mix of where ther came from.
Its likely going to be the loan market or nothing in January. And we've seen enough McCall transfer windows over the years to have little encouragement as to what we'll so.
Carlisle to win BTW.

We're done for. McCall couldn't scout a good player if he was playing in his back garden. Carlisle win and by Saturday evening we could drop from the heady heights of being the 89th best professional football league club to 91st.

Could be, we are in deep deep shit now. Yet McCall seems non plussed about bringing anyone in. He can't keep playing DMH otherwise he's on the way to taking us down.

McCall has never turned around a losing run when under pressure, has rarely used transfer windows well, and just can't seem to get players to run through the cliched brick wall for him. It those habits were to change it would down to good fortune rather than actually planning for it.

Sounds like we’re close to getting a few players back but we’re pinning our hopes on them hitting the ground running and us not having the continuing injury problems that we’ve had so far as well as us having a blinding January window for the first time ever. Resignation to relegation is setting in for me. Even when we battle like tonight results are going against us. That’s relegation form.

McCall can’t be looking at that side, witnessing these performances, looking at the table and still coming to the conclusion that free transfers aren’t something he’d like to look at. As average a manager as he is even he simply can’t believe that. We have to be under budget on instruction and McCall’s taking the flak. I’ve no idea why any of that would be true but it’s less fantastic a theory than the one that says there’s nothing to be gained from dipping into the free agents market.
If McCall’s sincere then we’ve needlessly extended the contract of a manager who’s sufficiently shit and deluded enough to drag us into the semi pro ranks and, in all likelihood, finish the club off. When we needed drastic change, the club decided to keep doing the same sort of things they’d always done. Our CEO search never left the car park and we gave a failing manager a new contract because the people in charge think stability is a strategy.
If we get relegated people need to remember that it wasn’t inevitable, it was nothing to do with Covid and neither was it caused by iFollow uptake because that’s how it’ll get painted. Our problems only begin with the fact that everyone down at that joke shop has an instinctive reaction to abdicate responsibility.

He didn’t say it explicitly but his post match interview last night made it sound like we don’t have any actual names on our target list just an idea of positions to fill 😢

I think you'll find it's our fault for making a lame joke at Sparks' expense and not clapping hard enough.
