There’s a Ben Jones at Opus Law who have done work for City and I think are related to Petherbridge Bassra who sponsor City so possibly that’s how he knows Ryan if it is the same Ben Jones.

Past caring, these supporters and the propaganda clique deserve all the failure that's coming their way....soon be cricket season. I'm a bit of the same feeling, I'll still watch but with less emphasis on anything bar the 90 minutes. To be honest I'm not missing it that much anymore, I guess that makes me a plastic. I've been drifting away for ages now, I don't mind being shit but it's the embarrassing state of this club in its entirety. Owners/fans/players/managers/staff Its horrendous, when we go 3-0 down and it's obvious we can't get anything I keep hoping the other team go on to double figures simply to shame these people. But now like many I'm past caring these cunts have zero clue what football is about. They're just interested in belonging to something, they don't understand the tribalism they don't understand pride or competition. They're all getting what they deserve and what we warned they would get, fuck em

'City fans you get what you deserve'.
He won't even grasp the irony of that being the only correct thing in the entire diatribe.

'I like him'. Great - THAT qualifies him to be CEO. A word to the wise - I've worked with and for a number of CEOs. The best ones are all cunts. Smart, yes. But ruthless. Cunts. We don't need a nice guy running the show, we need a street wise, cunning like a lighthouse rat type of cunt. A good cunt. Not a bad cunt.
That's enough use of the word cunt for a Friday morning.
Except to say that the article above reads like it was written by one.

"He’s being castigated by folk who would struggle to run a bath, let alone a football club."
Not a patronising generalisation in the slightest. You've no idea what a lot of us do or what we're responsible for...
They do seem to not understand its 2020 amd rightly / wrongly every decision made by a football club will be scrutinised on social media. Probably not right, but its the digital age and comes with the territory.
If it bothers them so much, they'd stay off it. But they need their likes.

There seems to be good feedback on his BBC radio interview yesterday. And at least he fronted up and answered the questions. But i was underwhelmed. I won’t state my role or employer, but I occupy a senior position and I speak to CEOs regularly and in some cases, they’re put under some VERY challenging questions by customers, shareholders, investors. So I know where the bar for a calm, composed and seasoned CEO sits in relation to interview responses. You could tell he was nervous and raw at it. Lots of ‘erms’ and deep swallowing mid-response. He struggled a bit with his breathing at the start, though he settled a bit as the interview wore on.
Now, none of that is unexpected. He sounded exactly like you’d expect a newly promoted 29 year old into the role would. The point is, none of my views are a criticism of Sparks. I’ve got nothing at all against him, and I hope he proves every single one of my concerns wrong (he won’t). That’s not the point - my criticism is not against Sparks, its against Rhodes and Rupp for making the decision they have. Frankly, Rupp deserves to lose every fucking penny he’s put into this club.

No doubt I'm just being unkind, but I can't help questioning the underlying talent of a 29yo man whose degree is in sports PR from Huddersfield University and whose biggest job before City was at Featherstone Rovers.
The article mentioned Shaun Harvey- who did the job at Scarborough under Richmond before he came to us- and David Baldwin. Baldwin had a successful record in business away from football before he came to us, which was precisely why Mark Lawn brought him in.
I'm sure Sparks is a lovely bloke but, let's face it, he's done fuck all in his career so far.

His interview sounded like the verbal equivalent of a cornered cat trying to look bigger and more scary than it is. Being Radio L666s, I was expecting a cock fluffing exercise. But tbf Raynor was firing some fairly hard ball questions... and so he bloody well should.

Raynor doesnt piss about, his interviews with McCall after games have been the only thing worth tuning in for. Contrast that with the Pulse bending over backwards thrusting the rusty sheriffs badge out everytime a manager came to the commentary box.

That's what's putting off all the capable, experienced CEOs. It can't be down to the state the club's in, or that the salary they're offering is too low. Definitely social media bitching that's stopped anyone else applying.

For anyone fans of massive contradictions. Ryan’s a punishment? Does he know? To clarify, I meant the contradiction in well qualified and having effectively run the club for the last few months. Anyway, funny old place is WOAP.
