To be fair we've not pissed about when it comes to outgoings. Two pieces of deadwood out the door already and you have to imagine DMH will follow and hopefully Guthrie too.

I’ll be amazed if that lad makes it. The fact we’ve waited until now to activate the release clause makes me think we were waiting on a replacement. Might be a signing today if so. Feel for Stuart despite his woeful managerial misgivings in that he was left with shit signings like Guthrie and made to sign shite like Samuels as he was given little option due to lack of funds/help.

Stuart wasn't a junior keen to impress, he'd been around the block as a player and a manager. He stuck his professional rep as a manager on the line totally by coming back here again - he should have made a stink about the atrocious restraints he had to work under, or put his blind love for us to one side and not come back anywhere near us. He didn't have to be a martyr and has paid for it. Aside from that actions of the last few days have summed up the shitshow of our transfer policy over the last 18 months or so (never mind the mess before that). 'Last piece of the jigsaw' couldn't start a game and gets his loan cancelled - FFS. Bowyer and McCall just took it all on the chin but you wonder why wouldn't they just stand up against it? La

Actually hoping we're in a place where we've halted the continuous lowering of the bar of January transfer windows...

Wood's contract is up in the summer - and Rhodes didn't want to enter negotiations until the new CEO was in post. Brilliant, fantastic move that was. Doubt he'll sign it now. He'll be off to the bottom half of L1 for £5k.

That said i wouldn't lose any sleep if any of them went.

Everyone seems to be getting excited about this window being one of the best ever but to me it looks like the outgoings are overshadowing the incomings.
Everyone is so ecstatic to see the dross being shown the door that they don’t seem to notice that the incomings thus far are mainly hopeful punts on loan. Nothing has really changed so far in that regard.

Wood like watt has been off his game since the 5th or 6th game of the season, his head is obviously somewhere else. I always thought Foulds was a left sided central defender who could play left back if he had to but others seem convinced he's a left back. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Staunton leaving.

They're hopeful signings based on nothing more than the club's they previously played for with the exception of Canavan who seems decent for this standard. But as usual the Muppets are lapping it up, giving everyone a free ride already. Fingers crossed they live up to the gomper hype and T&S continue to work wonders, but I'll wait till I'm proven wrong to start getting moist.

Could be, although i'd need to see more of Staunton before parting with my cash if i was a buying club. He's started well but was hardly replacing much in Richards Everton. With Wood being OOC in 6 months the club would be daft to turn down an offer. The Foulds signing is interesting, i remember him signing for Everton then ending up at Bury. Could potentially be a good signing or could be another George Green (minus the headfuck)

It could work but the law of averages tell us only one or two young players go on to make it. We're still in a position precariously close to the bottom, too close for comfort. There again it doesn't take a lot to get the bantams family excited. Strange how finishing half way will be seen as success by a large slice of our support.

Bolton have a smaller budget than us and managed to sign the likes of Doyle, so I'm not buying that as a complete excuse for the shite McCall signed.

I'm not saying they're shite the signings won't work but a reserve gk who couldn't get a game at a conference north team, a player who Swindon fans and manager think is shite with a bad attitude, a cb who Plymouth fans aren't arsed about leaving and scunny fans were glad he left, a youth striker who's showreel was no better than mine and a kid we let go who has been playing in the Italian equivalent. This is what Edin did but because Sparks isn't German the fan base is loving it. This just proves our fans are pathetic.

We've gone from Stuart's phone book to our youth team archives by the looks of it.

Parker reckons we're in for Danny Rowe which is probably true considering he has 4 goals this season and is over 30.

Parker reckons we're in for Danny Rowe which is probably true considering he has 4 goals this season and is over 30. I looked at his stats. Nearly 31 and spent the last 2 seasons in L2, never played higher. Not doing much to change my flaccidity.
