Meh. A deserved draw but got away with it because of the pen.
We huffed and puffed for the final quarter but there is zero quality going forward. Our attacks are slow, cumbersome and without purpose. We're hardly difficult to defend against.
I don't remember a genuine clear cut chance or any excitement from that game.

BRE, DMH and Guthrie will all drop to non league after they leave us.
Forward line was wank again and we inexplicably reverted to the hoof.
If I were Wolves I’d be in the phone demanding to know why we ever bothered loaning Austin ‘Jigsaw Piece’ Samuels if we’re going to pick a player as shit as Guthrie in front of him.

The Draw Master general strikes again, shocking use of subs and generally absolutely no direction. No surprise the 3 teams we have beaten are all below us in the league and struggling.

Draw about right but we didn’t create enough because we’ve no pace up front. We all knew that the bare minimum that we needed was a quality replacement for Vaughan and we didn’t get it. Simples.
Never a pen but that was the only way that we were going score and their lad should have been sent off not long afterwards.
Cooke finally looked like a decent player towards the end of the game and Watt looks ok.
Not sure why we took Hossanah off unless he was injured.
Overall rating: Poor to meh.

My stream was heavily interrupted by buffering all game and I never saw more than about 7 seconds of live action at any one time. I think I won tonight.

Any team coming up against us can beat us by simply playing a pressing game. We shit our shorts and have no answer outside the hoof. It’s a huge weakness.

The strikers won less than 5 headers all night, yet we persisted with long balls and occasional overhit crosses into (beyond) the box.
Can forgive players in the heat of the action but where is the coaching??
The team is divided into a reasonable back four and Watt, an anonymous rest of midfield and a worse than useless attack. I said on Twitter, would be as well hanging two Pig carcasses up front as them two.
Cooke is alright but he was never on the same wavelength as Watt, and I thought Pritchard had gone off. Massive gaps between players meant that simple triangles, interaction and movement was impossible. We looked like we had 10 men. Tbh when Guthrie came on we did.
Which leads me onto DMH.Nah I cant be arsed.

Other than Samuels who is he bringing on to make a difference in the final third? Squad is thinner than an anorexic Biafran, unless you want to play six at the back and that’s all down to McCall’s recruitment and not getting rid of Guthrie.

What was the score? 1 all v Walsall. I didn't see either goal. I saw the bit when Novak was hacked down when through on goal and I saw French looking quite hot at right back but that's it pretty much. Stu's got the beginnings of a decent calendar squad for the ladies to ogle. And the men ffs it's 2020 ffs. I'd say he's got about 6 months covered easily.

McCalls lack of acceptance from fans criticising is getting highly tiresome.
It's like he's losing the plot.

We are a very one note team. I genuinely worry about the quality of our coaching team.
This year our goals have pretty much come from headers and set piece.
Despite this our crossing tonight was atrocious and our hoof ball never met a forward.
On set pieces, I especially liked seeing the same corner 5 TIMES. Like exactly the same delivery to the same area. Glad to see we have been working on a set piece, but maybe have a second in the back.
We are so predictable and not very good at the stuff we are best at.
Season of beating those even sitter than us and being lucky if we get mid table this year

McCalls lack of acceptance from fans criticising is getting highly tiresome. It's like he's losing the plot. I don’t know what it is he’s expecting or wanting. Fans moan when their team is shit and gloat when they win - that’s how it’s always been and we have a lot to complain about. He must know all this but he seems to take every complaint personally even though the vast majority of criticism is laid away from us door. Remember his pleas in the fans forum that when fans are allowed back in he ‘only wants positive fans - the happy clappers’? Weak.

People have always been shown far more patience and support for McCall than others because of who he is. But a lot of people weren't happy he came back again, with everything else going on on and off the pitch - at the time the immediate issues were defeats at Oldham and Mansfield, poor ST sales and the worst transfer window in our history.
I'm not sure why he wanted to come back. 'Unfinished Business' is an awful cliche, does he see himself as the white Knight? He must have been more aware than anyone of the conditions and prudence he'd be working under again, would it be that appealing? Or maybe he was just desperate for a job and happy to risk his reputation coming back again.
For Stuart things like the confusing interviews in the summer about transfers, in line with our overall transfer approach - ex-players, not replacing Vaughan, leaving everything late etc.
He was obviously setting low expectations, and IMO a lot of the frustration aimed at Stuart is because people are scared of seeing him fail again, especially as this time he is in the worst position to manage the club out of the 3 he's had and he's not being given the best tools to do the job.
But then the comments about Guthrie - as innocuous as they seems he's going to end up hanging himself with that one. Everyone knew we hadn't strengthened the attack in January and over the summer, and there is no ability in him at all. Meanwhile the 'final piece of the jigsaw' - a completely raw 19 old that people want to see - can't get on ahead of him.

They’re guy ran from just inside his own half to the edge of the area and didn’t get challenged once for their goal.

Novak was fucking abysmal last night. Cunt was walking around the pitch disinterested for the most part. But then again he's been shite all along. A few early season tap ins conned people into thinking he was half decent but the fact is that his all round game has been utter wank from day one.

Strikers graveyard. He's never been the kind that bangs them in for fun but is expected to be. For every four or five shots on target he has, one will score. Without seeing the stats I'd suggest he has loads of assists, but those will have been with actual footballers, not Guthrie who isn't a footballer and Donaldson who if he was a race horse would have been at the knackers yard years ago.

Dunno how accurate they are but Transfermrkt has stats here: www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lee-novak/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/105723433 games 105 goals 36 assists Without looking, I bet that's similar to Hanson's career stats.
