Nixon and his 'exclusives', this was known about months ago. Will only happen if the price drops significantly.

Doesn't say he's looking to buy but more join as an employee at the top, whilst looking for a buyer later down the road. Maybe his interest in buying us has gone because of the price but thinks he can get on board, start the project and then buy himself or bring in his investors when the club better matches rupps valuation.

From what i remember he was looking to buy although that may have been as CEO of a consortium. Would be a big boost for the club if true, would give behind the scenes the kick in the arse its needed for years.

Either way he's a more positive thinker than Captain Admin/failure and would come with a real plan.

I'm sure if Jenkins did come here it would be as part of a consortium, not as a someone trying to find a buyer. The buyer/s would come with Jenkins as part of the takeover.

Any takeover would cost Jenkins more as a result of Jenkins’ own work. It’s a takeover.

Personally I think it must be close to being done, it's been going on since the time of lockdown and there's no way Nixon would put it up about us with Stuart here unless it's in the bag. Could well be why they haven't bothered with any signings of note.

A man of his standing ain't gonna come and use his own business acumen to bump the price up.

Think about it; Huw Jenkins formerly of Premier League Swansea coming to Bradford for a job and a monthly paycheque? On the wages we pay? Bollocks.
There’s more to it than that. I think it’s what we heard it was and it’s a takeover. Covid has woken Rupp from his dreams and he’s got back in touch with Jenkins willing to deal at a more sensible price.

World events and their impact on this sport, and specifically at this level, will have been a rude awakening for Rupp. McBurnie means the only money hes now down, is what he paid to buy the club. If he gets anywhere close to getting that money back, you wont see him for dust. Jenkins would be just what weve been crying out for.

I'm getting a wee twitch in the under crackers department at the thought of this. Imagine someone with a vision and a plan and an idea of how to execute it successfully getting hold of us.

www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/huw-jenkins-interview-swansea-city-18314954Pretty interesting interview with Jenkins outlining what he's looking for next from his own perspective. "Since I finished over a year ago I have been looking around for something that's a good challenge, getting the football side right at a club," explains Jenkins. "I'm looking at opportunities, whether that's Charlton, owning a club or working with people who already own clubs."

Surely if Rupp was ever going to lower his asking price, the current news cycle would be the thing to lower it? It's all good and well holding out for an extra few million like he seems to want to but at the end of the day, while the club is in the situation it is he's going to end up having to invest plenty to keep the club afloat. If there was a time to just get out while you can, go put your feet up and live your best life - it's probably now.

With the new salary cap implications your wage bill is effectively £1.5 million. Coupled with the fact we've always had a threadbare backroom staff and we know what the other costs are i'd say Rupp at worst makes a small profit due to our turnover.

First thing he did was get Swansea a new stadium and expand its uses to bring money in.... oi hobbes

He seems like the perfect balance too of 'not spending beyond our means' so we don't have to deal with the worries about 'doing a Bury' but also realising that you can still invest money to do that, as long as the investments have a long term sell on value or source of income.
It's not happening, it'd be too perfect:(
