What, going back to arranging our formation around a man who can’t really play any position doesn’t whet your appetite? m8 He LiNkS aTtAcK aNd MiDfIeLd rEaLlY wElL.

I'm probably one of the few who like clarke and he's certainly better than the other three donkeys. However this is still a fucking shambolic signing.

This is akin to lockdown- you knew it was coming but fervently prayed it wouldn’t happen.
Still, we nearly signed Crawford and Sarcevic so it’s all looking good for promotion.

It’s going to be a miss, we all know it’s going to be a miss and won’t be shocked when it happens.
The question I have is, if we are signing him to fulfil a specific role, who were the others we looked at that didn’t make the cut? Sarcevic doesn’t count as, in my opinion, he is in the same category as saying we were looking at Messi....it was never going to happen.
I could be wrong but it looks like we’ve signed him regardless of what he is bringing to the table because a) he’ll be cheap b) zero scouting was needed, c) he’ll be cheap d) he knows the club and e) he’ll be cheap.

He ‘knows what the City faithful demand’. Aye, fuck all apart from running around with your tongue trailing behind you like Biggles’ scarf.

It looks that way to me, the one slight positive is that he is better than The Guth but that is hardly a high bar that needs to be hurdled

I like the lad, problem is this ain't a scouted signing, it's because McCall knows him. Just filling the team with lads who love the club might be a gompers wet dream but tactically it's football suicide.

It'll be tragically hilarious when season tickets go back on sale to see if anyone actually buys one - if its after the summer window then based on what we've seen and the depressing attitude towards the salary cap it'll be a miracle if we sell 7,000.
January window was the worst we've ever seen, our results and performances since New Year have been pathetic and sales before the pandemic were dire.
Good luck selling that turd to people.

I had pretty much the exact same conversation with Neshead the other day. They are in quite a bit of a predicament because of COVID, they can’t get away with saying buy your tickets we’ve got some great signings lined up this time. People will know what they are buying into and I suspect many more signings of the Clarke mould will have a detrimental effect.

That January window (like every other, except the one time we signed Wyke) was a total sham. We were totally done in terms of what to expect -.Strung along, being lead to believe there was significant funding to invest a promotion push then we put together that shitshow of a window. Then in recent months we discover the size of the loan we need to repay Rupp - which will probably increase further - and after working out a lot of the ins/outs over the last few years, incentive here and windfall there, he's barely put any of his own money in as an investment. Unless there is a big fucking plan he's about to execute, I'm considering not coming back until another owner comes in. He does not give a fucking shit.

We act like we're non-league (well, a lot of the club probably is) while Leeds are going to smash the league as Champions, see 42,000 full houses next season (virus permitting) and start getting back in with the big boys. There was a T&A article yesterday, bigging up the excitement of a potential league fixture against Harrogate or Halifax next year. Image the YEP doing that for Leeds.

Agree, the last two seasons especially have sucked the life right out of me...I’m fucking done with being strung along and there being no end in sight
