McCall on watt: Great quality with his set piece deliveries as he has with his passing- short and long. Going to have to mix his game up. When I watched him at Wolves he got on the ball, not a great deal of tackling at academy games but he knows since he's been at Carlise that it's part of the game and he's more than equipped to do that, but I do see him being a link player for us. He can get on the ball and go box to box.

Didn't know he was an attacking midfielder. Intrigued to see how we're going to set up now.

Sparksy reckons EFL are gonna open ifollow up, that’s handy can cancel my VPN for a few months. Maybe only around 3000 fans allowed in October - sounds like they’ve not decided how to decide who goes in. Even suggested season tickets might not go back on sale and might be ticket per game type affair. Guessing you’d have to buy online though...
What else? Ah yes, scouting. Turns out it’s just Stuart with a WyScout sub. In fairness, I admire the way he explained it- why pay a scout X amount a year when it could be spent on pitch or training etc. He shouldn’t have to choose between having a chief scout and some more balls and cones. Shows just how tight the purse strings are.
Vaughan? They don’t want to let him go. Notable nothing said about his desire to stay - maybe I’m just being autistic but it felt like it might be a good idea to reiterate his will to stay.
Promotion? They’ve said the goal is to get out of the league. That’s a pretty big statement given the current side.
Recruitment? Looking for bash your head on break your legs type midfielder
Also I don’t know what you lot said to Sparksy but he called you out made you look a reet set of cunts tbh

I'm not sure that the noises about JV were that committed to him, but I hope I'm wrong.

I can’t believe the lack of reaction that the response to the question about spending more on scouting got. Our ‘scouting system’ is literally Stuart ‘in total control’ with an iPad.
He even said if it was a choice between spending on the pitch or scouting it would be the pitch every time. It’s indicative of the short termism that this club is wracked with. Fix the recruitment, start finding better players, waste less money on badly researched players, increase transfer money incomings and everything else, including the pitch, can flow from that.

Bless Stuart, Ipad aside it sounds like he still thinks it's the late 1990s, with the attitude of if it everything was good enough 20 years ago to get to the Premier League it can't be that bad in League 2. Also: "Valley Parade lease finishes in 2028 and there is an option to increase that by 25 years when that comes." What, 25 years under the same conditions? Fuck right off with that one, rather play in a car park than carry that financial tumour around with us until 2053.

It will be interesting to see how the discussions go as there is no way we will be leaving, we don't have any bargaining power.

Just like with the question asking why rhodes and Rupp weren't in attendance - sparks basically saying he thinks it's a good thing because it keeps him in a job. I mean what on earth is that for an answer.

I mean what on earth is that for an answer. It wasn't a public forum with a roaming mic was it? Pre-approved questions - and probably pre approved answers. The last thing they would have wanted was room full of people, someone going rogue and shitting all over the transfer policy and watching someone like Gregg Abbott butchering a dreadful answer.

The club could literally say anything and it would be deemed positive.
Rhodes in attendance = Brilliant Rhodes not in attendance = Brilliant, shows he trusts Ryan.
No scouting = Brilliant, Stuart's in charge. Sophisticated scouting set up = Brilliant, leaves Stuart to sort the coaching.
Old squad = Brilliant, experience is key. Young squad = Brilliant, youth is the future.
Vaughan staying = Brilliant, guaranteed goals. Vaughan going = Brilliant, he's disruptive.
Money spent on the pitch = Brilliant, it needs investment. No money spent on the pitch = Brilliant, use the funds elsewhere.
Salary cap = Brilliant, we'll spend within our means. No salary cap = Brilliant, we'll have an advantage on smaller teams.
Absolutely nothing is allowed to be a negative to a large proportion of our fanbase. Fucking tedious.
