Odds on him coming back here? Would be somewhat realistic knowing how this club operates - and after DMH and Guthrie in the last window it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility... Hello! I was searching information about Akpan and somehow stumbled upon this forum. Your favorite player is currently in Finland and he is gonna sign for a top tier club here. I was wondering if you guys could describe him as a player and what went wrong for him in Bradford? Looking at his stats he should be a fucking beast here in Finland. So no need to be afraid about him coming back to Bradford. Shit lazy gutless and a pussy, and that's why it went wrong.

He’s a terrible player. Bollocks the size of pips, no heart, no apparent ability and just seems to want to keep his kit clean. He stands about like a second referee, doesn’t respond to criticism and shits out of every tackle he gets near. He doesn’t go for headers, rarely gets forward or back, can’t dribble and doesn’t have the ability to unlock a defence with his passing. He’s got nothing.
Unless the standard in Finland is akin to something like level eight over here he’ll be an expensive dud.

At first I was very excited about this kind of player ending up in Finland, but after reading stuff about him all my excitement is gone. But yeah, the standard may be a bit lower here so maybe Akpin can actually be a good signing for us. Thank you for the info!

Akpan is big, athletic and looks like he should boss games.
At Bradford we saw the absolute opposite of that. Timid, shy, hiding, lazy. See if you can find some stats for his touches, tackles and passes per game. Abysmal.

He also signed for us on the back of 2 successive relegations at different clubs - so already had a losing approach and sense of application to his play which he carried on here as we went down.
As Hoocy says, his physical appearance at least implied he would be a dominant player in that regard but he more like a member of the U15s who was still to go through puberty.

Succinct. I reckon that about sums him up. Yep. I think it's coming across just how disappointing he was and it was largely due to a lack of effort. He might be really useful at that walking football for the over 65 lads.

More frustrating though was that every now again you'd get a "Here's what you could have won" ten minutes when his dander was up. Then back to the usual disinterested mode.

Add BRE to the list of ex players. Bonus!: With Ismail out next we’re going to need some serious transfer work in the next two and a half weeks and it doesn’t even feel like it’s started yet.

As I said on another thread, real danger is Sparks, Rhodes or Rupp thinking we’re safe from relegation after the last five matches. Need for some quality and some goals is still there.
