Not sure his career to date shows he's a 'winner'. Can't see it working with McCall. Kids these days, give a corner flag a good kicking ten times a season and you're a ballon d'or contender. He was kicking corner flags when he was scoring goals. Note that that was at the start of last season when the players were not yet fully trained in Bowyerball tactics and were playing largely on instinct. As soon as his tactics began to be deployed we dropped further and further. The chances dried up. His head went down. It'll stay down until he moves on to somewhere where he can have a new hissy fit all over again. Guy lives for it.

Hopefully city will bring out a Vaughan action figure with fully articulating legs, for kicking corner flags and scuttling off to struggling tinpot clubs at the first opportunity. Sounds like you lot would lap it up.

I'd have him back in a flash. Best of a bad bunch by a mile. Very hard working on the pitch and would surely score in a team attempting to attack.
Not convinced by the other three forwards in comparison.

I think mccall will be a good fit for him, it seemed to me he was pissed off because we were shit and we were playing like shit. Mccall had one of the best footballing sides ive seen at city in a good while so hopefully that wont be issue. as someone else said the problem with vaughan is all the shitters who aren't vaughan

The options are bring him back or pay him to play for someone else. After Flumageddon nobody in leagues one and two will have any money to pay what he's on here.
Paying someone else to play Doyle worked so well.
So of course we'll loan him out and pay half his wages for him to score 40 for Bolton.
As for his attitude, I'd be fucked off running my bollocks off for a manager who thinks Hope Akpan is a professional footballer.

Pretty much sums it up: in the unlikely event we find a taker he can go. Otherwise he stays here and hopefully that won’t piss him off to the point that his form suffers. That whole article reads like McCall is asking him if he’ll sulk if he has no choice but to stay.

Maybe he wanted to have a go this year and isn’t happy about being available? Maybe he’s pissed of that Tranmere were relegated and his head’s already in Birkenhead? Maybe McCall’s worrying over nothing? Who knows but let’s hope there’s no takers.

That whole article reads like McCall is asking him if he’ll sulk if he has no choice but to stay. I read it as Stuart has already told him he's the main man next season and will be playing to his strengths, making sure what happened between him and Bowyer doesn't happen again. That and he's desperate for him to stay because he's seen the state of the other three strikers.

Henderson rumours could mean Vaughan not in plans/on his way...

Henderson rumours could mean Vaughan not in plans/on his way... It's one of those 'rumours' that came from a random Twitter account which has somehow amassed a few thousand followers by just tweeting out random out of contract players with clubs that sound semi-plausible in the hope that they'll get one right eventually

And now he's retired out of nowhere.
Tranmere have lost 20-25 goals.
One less striker to worry about
