Which 4 youth players have we offered contracts to and is McCall going to include them as part of the main squad? Just don’t see how that’s feasible. ————O’Donnell———— Wood—-BRE—-AOC—-RB RW——CM—-CM—— LW —Vaughan—Donaldson— Bench: MH, Pritchard, Ismail, POC , Novak, CM , CM The rest: Guthrie, Hornby, French, Longridge, Staunton That’s 23 players in total and is the absolute minimum we’re going to need. Throw 4 obscure youth players into the mix and we’ll hardly do any recruitment at all. We’ll sign Nicky Law, Tony McMahon, a couple of cheap loanees and that will be pretty much it. French or Paudie will be rb with the other sub Longridge will either go or the push wood up the wing and he will lb. Ismael will be Rw, I'm told McCall doesnt want Guthrie or Pritchard but can't see them moving on. As we all know Vaughan will be off if they can get him off the books so we will probably see 4cms a winger and 2 number 10s come in maybe a spare cb. He will definitely get 5 loans in so probably only 2 proper signings. I'm also not sure ROD will sign, there's rumours up here he's wanted by Parkinson to replace McLaughlin.

Don’t be surprised to see Vaughan move on if anyone will take him. Relegation fodder. The events of the last few months and probably next 6 will be next season's gomper's excuse - I've had that feeling for a while theres so much rot at the club and chronic under investment a relegation fight could be a possibility. It's a perfect combination - skinflint owner, worldwide crisis - perfect reason to spend as little money as possible and not be called out for it. Look at the state of our January window FFS, and that was after being told we were in a position to invest. Is anyone expecting anything different now or beyond? Tenner on relegation next season. That front line, fucking hell.

I don’t know why Rupp is hanging on. He doesn’t want it, he’s no good for the club and yet he won’t let go. If he ever seriously expected to get £10m he must be realising by now that he’s dreaming.
Time to cut your losses and sell up, Stefan. Then we can all get to forgetting we ever had the misfortune of your involvement.

The Prem restarts soon so it's likely he'll get the full McBurnie money when they stay up. If he's ever going to go quietly it will be then.

Who knows how out of touch he might be as to our actual situation? He probably thinks we have superb facilities, the best ground outside the Premier League and a squad full of valuable assets and it's only a matter of time before success comes our way and we're heading to the Championship again. Fans were horrified with our January transfer dealings in context of everything else happening at the club. Does the owner does have so little football acumen he doesn't see it? Well we all know why they wheeled McCall out again so we know the answer to that.

Vaughan won't go anywhere cause nobody else will have money for his wages. Unless we pay part of them to get shut, anyway. And obviously we wouldn't be that stupid.
Oh bollocks. It's going to be Donaldson and that twat from Stevenage.

I’m predicting relegation. I said the other week the WOAP article is lining us up for disappointment. The players we currently have, a couple of kids and half a dozen cheap signings. A front line of Guthrie, Novak, Donaldson and Vaughan, three of them over 32 at the end of the season and one is hopelessly out of his depth. Next season is the perfect opportunity for Rupp to cheaply fund promotion, there are more players than jobs and wages will be low. Instead we will have Rhodes staying on another year as an experienced safe pair of hands in difficult times and the words deficit caused by Covid trotted out after every poor result whilst Bolton, FGR and Barrow are promoted with a dozen games remaining.

I’m just glad Stefan decided to do the right thing and stick around and save us.

I’m predicting relegation. So we've got to make the required difference to our shocking squad with four youth teamers and only five new signings? With our recruitment? The only thing that saves us next year is enough teams having it worse.

And that fucking forward line should never have been assembled. A junkie picking random players could have done better.
Just imagine if we do manage to get Vaughan out. Our top scorer might get eight in thirty five at best.

Other teams are in the same position, so that's next season's excuse lined up already.
Every message the club puts out this summer - wether from Rupp, Captain Admin, McCall, the Comms guy - is going to be in that same defeated, pessimistic, controlling of expectations tone.

This idea that Rupp somehow did us a favour by not jumping ship pisses me off. He owns the bloody thing, he's hardly gonna walk away is he?

We’ve been relegated a division with little hope of bouncing back any time soon and gone from slightly in the black to being nearly £2m in debt. To Rupp. Saviour.

Trying to be positive, I think a small squad would suit Stu a bit. If we get a decent first 11 and steer clear of injuries we might not be too bad. Injuries will be the tricky thing with aging strikers and Zeli's record isn't great. Vaughan and Don will rip this league up, 20 each.

Decent ball winning centre mid, teamed with a player who can pick a pass and we'll be fine and dandy. Can I have that jerk chicken recipe too please? I'm doing a beef massaman today.
