linkWhere are we going to start magically generating this revenue? We don’t even run the burger stands when the doors are open. This has come from Stefan. This is Ryan trying to look like he’s working to an impossible brief. We either go cap in hand to Stefan for another loan or we rattle a tin under gomper noses and sell them season tickets they can only partially use. That’s all we’ve got. This bit raised a smirk though: Is this a reference to Salford? If so it might be factually correct to say they have spent big and are still only in League Two but it fails to mention that it’s likely a small stutter on the way to bigger and better things than us. I wonder if Sparks would bet money on us being higher up the pyramid than them in five years. I somehow doubt it. And imagine the horror of being one of those clubs that a) have money to spend and b) are actually working to a plan. Let’s all thank our lucky stars we’re not one of those clubs. Classic meaningless guff to finish: He’s ‘engaging the business’?! And is, ‘committed to doing what he is’. Can’t even be arsed with this. He took the McBurnie money supposedly to recoup his losses but his losses are now a loan. He’s fucked us over and charged us for the privilege. He’s a slow-burning Edin.

Save the club from Evil Edin, paint yourself as the white knight, but behind all of it you've got us another long-term financial ball and chain. We're just part of the Rupp company portfolio.
I saw the £20-30m quote and wondered who on earth is that referring to? Aside from Salford who are definitely on an upward trajectory (certainly when compared to us), who else? It's just another excuse that implies we're in a better position as we're not taking any financial risk.
He's just Edin MK 2, just more subtle than Edin's obvious micromanaging which became full on interfering and control. But Rupp is doing it behind the scenes, in the finance world, so well away from the public side of things - and we're known for providing very limited / questionable accounts in recent years aren't we?
Getting us to owe him money long term - and it's going to very quickly become more than £1.76m when you realise the season has to be complete to get the £400k+ of McBurnie clause - is a great move for him. It's going to be £2m, then £2.5m, possibly £3m? And is there interest on these loans?

Re: Rupp...
You get those saying that we're lucky to have him, he could have walked away, he's an honourable man etc.
Could he have walked away? Is it that easy to just leave a business? Surely not. It has to be legally handed over to someone else or folded. He's basically stuck with us because he can't fold us and he can't sell for profit because we have no assets to speak of other than a place in L2. While he sticks around we're going to bumble along with even less direction than ever.

The frustrating thing is, it wouldn't take much to get us going. An affordable investment from him to make us a proper outfit would see us back up there challenging for the Championship. Could easily do it in 3-4 years and then he might have something someone wants to actually buy.

Meanwhile he’s indulging in self aggrandising rhetoric about how he’s sticking around to make right while simultaneously pocketing the biggest sell-on this club has ever seen and converting the debt that clause was supposed to settle into loans to himself. Anyone would think he was taking the piss.

I suspect he’s decided to put the absolute minimum in and wait until someone takes it off his hands for the smallest loss possible. I don’t buy the putting lots of money in excuse. I’d say it’s a loan and probably an interest bearing loan.

That’s rubbish I work for a company that is charging it’s subsidiary interest and that subsidiary is charging it’s subsidiary interest.
