I was hearing last week less than 1000 had been sold but it's still very early days. I genuinely can't see us getting past 6000 the tide has turned It won't drop that low, that would take 2 or 3 seasons. Our home form dictates season tickets to a large degree, our away followings are largely poor. The cheap prices will persuade a lot of doubters. Paints a picture of how our fan base is more than happy to accept mediocrity though. The flexi ticket is like a methadone substitute for those who that can't make a full commitment to going cold turkey. Theres a lot of people who'll are fed up but would see not renewing their ST as turning their back on the club, however they'll see a flexi as still supporting so won't feel that stigma as much.

Say only 8,000 renew. Where the fuck do they go from there? You're literally in letting people in for free territory. These cheap tickets, which is all Julian knows, will literally be the death of us.

These cheap tickets, which is all Julian knows, will literally be the death of us. The whole ethos is built on big numbers. Cheap tickets on lower numbers puts us on a par with the also rans. Gompers are blinded by this affordable football. When in fact we are literally giving it away.

For all the praise the tickets get, theres a glaring reason why no other club has them (unless they're a one season deal, tied into a centenary or other event etc). After more than a year or two, people expect it to be the norm. After 12 years its madness. But theres no way out.

We bang on about infrastructure, a crap ground, no scouting etc because it's been exposed as being as poor as it is. The worst thing is in the 6 years from being promoted to being relegated, all we spent money on was the changing rooms to bring them up to the bare minimum and the pitch which is still dreadful. We invested in nothing else - it actually looks like we penny pinch even more in terms of non-playing staff, commercial staff etc. We had unprecedented worldwide exposure with 2 incredible cup runs but have thrown it all away. Now we're just known as another toxic club ruined by clueless foreign owners. It just feels like March 2009 again. Blown a great position in a poor league while our off field infrastructure was brutally shown up for being as backward as it is. Foundations built on sand. There’s a new scoreboard. Paid for by fans, but it’s new.

If we had half decent flood lights it would 'balance out' the light. But, alas, we don't because we're tinpot and run by amateurs and idiots.

'We need a diversity photo... yeah, that'll do...'
There's people about to be killed in ISIS videos that look more enthusiastic than that.

They’re taking the piss by putting ‘ambitious’ on there. I mean actually sniggering when they added it.

I don't think fans will be quick to contribute like they did before - the worldwide situation is different and affects them in every way, not just football, many are fed up with the shit football being served and chronic lack of investment, there the 'here we go again' feeling that Bradford City need bailing out once more, the thought that we have a ridiculous wealthy owner who isn't bothered and Captain Admin leading the charge...
Even Bury going bust was a precedent that football clubs can go out of business, and in the grand scheme of things, it's no different to somewhere like BHS disappearing from the high street. It can happen and apart from those associated with the club, no one else really cares.

There must be a financial package coming from the FL, no fans means the main source of capital is gone and if there's no fans then sponsors will be going.

We’re toast. We might have made it too had Rupp not pocketed the McBurnie money to cover the cost of the Rupp-induced fuck up of last season.
Imagine being able to trouser the biggest windfall this club’s ever had because you’ve fucked up enough to need it to break even and have the fans be grateful to you for everything you’ve done. What a world.

Someone fetch the buckets. Funny how things turn out. Running the club on the happy-to-have-a-club-to-support, hand to mouth basis because it’s savvy and safe and because to do anything else is so dangerous you’ll end up like Bury will be our undoing. We’ve got nothing. We have no assets, nothing of any value to sell on the off chance anyone’s buying. What we were told would keep us secure and in existence could well end up being what finally kills this rotting corpse of a club. Ah well, better a quick death than the lingering demise we were suffering. Kill it, start again. You never know it might end up being good for us; hard to be any worse.
