It's FA Cup final day.
What an utter irrelevance it's become. Can't even remember who won it last year or the year before. I could name every winner and runner up from the 80s right now. Probably the goal scorers too.

It going to be an irritant for big clubs like the league cup is; imagine years ago if teams put out reserves like they do now... As for the day, it was one of those traditional sporting days that are becoming a thing of the past. Having the semis at Wembley was another sign of what's it was turning into.

5pm kick off? Who’s fucking idea was that? From when Budweiser were the main sponsor - better time for the American audience.

Days at Wembley are shit now, i remember the playoffs. Shit to get to, shit to get away from, the stadium and area around it is pretty dull. The old Wembley was a shit hole but had a magic about it. Every man and his dog plays there these days, too many meaningless games have wiped away the exclusiveness.

Man City seem to be winning at a canter, again.
It is really boring this - basically an Arab country is buying their trophies. We know that.
What struck me reading the pundits comments is that they are all extremely complimentary towards Man City. I find it a bit odd how no one (that I've seen) refers to their vast amounts of wealth and the extent of their spending in a critical way.
It sort of makes be wonder if they all have to tow a party line where they can't refer to their money being the foundation for their success? Basically with the amount of wealth, power and clout they have, and being Arab, does everyone have to sort of shy away from those observations?

5-0 down. Mass flag waving. We all know what’s about to flood the bcafc hashtag.
Made in Bradford that.

Result means Wolves go into the Europa league. Doesn’t seem that long ago they came to us in the league and thrashed us courtesy of Benny Afobe. Now they’re in Europe with some top young players thanks to a slightly sketchy connection to Jorge mendes.
Meanwhile we’ll be playing head tennis in L2. #progress

Focus on that and be glad you’ve got a club to support ffs. Shame I’ll be dead when it happens though .

So much for #bantamsfamily, need some fwends/likes so best seek solace on BT by posting some Character/Big Jim come home stuff.

Modern football at the highest level is corrupt as fuck. You have your clubs like Man City and PSG, doped financially. Real Madrid need a rebuild? Best get on the blower to the King for another handout. Even clubs like Man United, who generate their own wealth, are run by leeches who openly state that success on the field has no real bearing on their financial performance - a business that happens to need to play a bit of football on the side. I'm genuinely losing interest in it. Which is handy cos we'll never trouble it again in my lifetime.
