Our supporters clubs are pathetic. Shipley Bantams aside, at least they do what it says on the tin.

Ewan on Josh Wright:
"My thoughts exactly. That goal you refer to at Barnsley in the Checkatrade, I actually thought was a good goal. He was also on a yellow so if he goes steaming in and mis-times then its curtains.
There is always someone getting it in the neck."

He was also on a yellow so if he goes steaming in and mis-times then its curtains. There is always someone getting it in the neck." How often do we hear the phrase, ‘taking one for the team’? When you sacrifice yourself for the good of the team by taking a red or yellow card to prevent a goal scoring opportunity for the other team. What does he mean by ‘it’s curtains’ if he steams in? He can’t mean curtains as in we concede because that’s exactly what did happen so he must be referring to Wright getting a red. I’d argue that’s exactly what should have happened. Wright should have shown some strength of character, some team spirit and some gonads bigger than the peanuts he’s got and made sure that fucker went no further. Ewan’s preferred ethos gets us exactly where we are today: stranded at the bottom with oppositon teams walking through us at will. That won’t stop Ewan looking down his nose at people who are rightly pissed off with watching weak players keeping their kits clean week in week out though. That Ewan is a fucking terrible Tweeter. Both a prolific excuser of failure and a superior fucker to boot.

And its not like he only did it once.

Sometimes when you're playing badly or getting well beaten a really hard tackle gets the crowd fired up and ignites a sense of purpose and fight. Can't imagine any of our lot putting one of them in can you? Team full of Josh Wrights

And its not like he only did it once. True. I was going off Ewan’s ‘curtains’ argument. There’s every chance that he’d have made the tackle and made it well/not been carded but that doesn’t fit Ewan’s idiotic rush to defend a player who quite simply didn’t do his job.

We should have a Gomper of the Season award. Theres some fantastic candidates this season, usually the ones that were great candidates last season. And the season before that. Manny gets an honourable mention. Firthy as well.

Bingley Bantams strong contender. Definitely single strongest gomp moment of the season when they deepthroated edins mates and got the flyover cancelled.
