Speak of the devil silly twat just Skye’s it from 2 yards out. Nonce. How many chances did Scannell miss in a City shirt? Hardly any, because he spent all his time on the touch line doing fuckawl with the ball. Pritchard is shit but atleast he got himself into dangerous positions. It's why he scored 6 last season and your bumboy scored none.

The formation doesn't work. Our attacking play was better but it is going to be when even AOC was allowed to bomb forward.
2-1 seriously flattered us. Crewe should have had 5 or 6 atleast.

After bringing back the chairman who was in charge during our extended stay in League Two last time.
And after spending the whole of preseason playing trialists and kids for forty minutes each.
After signing a lopsided squad again, and no defensive central midfielder or wingers.
After failing to get the Robinson, Reeves and arsing about with Coleville.
And signing a crock winger from Walsall's reserves and a left back from Scotland who is struggling to adjust to a new culture???
After letting our top scorer leave to a rival, and filling the squad with Blackpool's reserves and a Peterborough reserve player.
I'm shocked we aren't doing well.

The Akpan role of sitting in front of the defence, winning it and giving that Bowyer thinks Hope is capable of should be how we’re using Palmer. Instead we’re accommodating shite to push better players out of position and turn them shite in turn.
We make ourselves shitter than we even ought to be.

Watch Akpan sell his arse here:
Then watch his body language afterwards. It’s like it all has an air of inevitability about it for him. He looks exactly like what he is: a man who’s been relegated three times.

He looks exactly like what he is: a man who’s been relegated three times. Defensively he was woeful yesterday going forward he was better than Palmer and Devitt and Pritchard but his job I'd assume was to anchor. But that tells you how shit the other 2 in the middle were. Cooke came on and did more in his cameo than the other 3 did in the whole game. Devitt has taken off from when he left and Palmer has been shite all season. Cooke is a must starting against Northampton.

Its got the hallmarks of last season about it already, the difference being we have a better strikeforce that will ensure we get more points then we possibly deserve. Honestly i still can't believe what BowyerS did yesterday though strangely some of fans actually thought going three at the back was a good idea. So instead of a formation where we look limited in midfield but defensively strong we went to a formation where there was space all over the bloody park, quite baffling how when you have allegedly packed the midfield. No one knew who was supposed to pick up who resulting in an unholy mess once Crewe had realised we had no game plan. Painful when you can see it happening on i follow and the manager seems oblivious to it. Then hangs the players out to dry in interview afterwards.

I know its up to him to put the performances in but surely he can't be as bad as what we've seen. He's shown nothing so far apart from woeful set pieces. And with players BowyerS has brought in it will make it even harder for him to fit in.

The only thing I liked about the formation was that it was an orthodox front two. No fannying about playing Donaldson somewhere on the left. Trouble is it’s all for naught if you can’t supply them. Too much rests on Cooke now. If he’s shite, we’re fucked.

Early doors I thought he showed promise but I don’t think we’ve played him properly (shock). I think he needs the role we’re wasting on Akpan. If not the orthodox covering midfielder then the deeper lying playmaker. We’re playing him as a standard centre mid and it’s not working. It’s another reason Akpan needs to go but if it needs a player to be sold to stop him being picked then that’s on the manager who’s under no obligation to pick the useless cunt. Bowyer is a presence fetishist. Another one that thinks, ‘we need a big lad in there’ rather than picking based on quality. We endured Anderson earlier this season until Bowyer swapped him for Akpan. We’re being hamstrung, in part, by a manager that prioritises size over quality.

Its another one of those signings where you're not sure what he's best at because the whole balance of the midfield is wrong. Signing the likes of Devitt is a strange one, we already have McCartan unless he leaves this week and we may have well as signed Billy Clarke who would have played for magic beans. Cooke is an unknown quantity but i'm hoping he can play central because at the moment we have no one good enough to do so.

Can anyone who went yesterday fill us in on how the various minutes’ applause went? Asking for a (Bury) friend.
