It's amazing what happens when you play players in their best position.

Great result. Still feel it's too late to stop relegation but hopefully I'm wrong.

Could be a dead cat bounce. Hope I’m wrong.
Happy with the win though. Gives us a bit of a chance of staying up.

Did anyone go? Any chance of some ratings? How was Butterfield? Bowyer’s tactics? I’ve only got gomper-infested Twitter and PRNK Pulse to rely on so would appreciate some more objective commentary.

O'Donnell -7- two great saves. Caddis -6- decent enough O'Connor -7- he was great in all fairness, threw himself in front of everything. NKP -5- bombscare. Chicksen -5- never seen a full back more reluctant to go forward. Anderson -6- meh, neat and tidy. Akpan -7- solid. LOB -8- good as usual, decent goal too. Butterfield -8- he was everywhere, passing top class and a good goal. Doyle -7- looks a different player now we aren't smashing balls at his head. Shock. Ball -7- good as usual. Clear Bowyer hates hoofball, passing it out from the back a lot more. Some good pass and move football and defensively much more organised and committed. If only we had hired him when Collins got the boot we may have been safe.

I went. It was just a proper, hard working and balanced performance, where everyone knew and did their job. First half was fairy even and not a great spectacle. Peterborough knocked it around well without too much of a threat - although they scored a goal which looked marginal in terms of the offside call that ruled it out. We played some decent stuff - no hoof and Butterfield hit the bar from a 20 yard free kick. Doyle and Ball looked a good fit for each other. Slightly concerned that we let too many crosses into the box but the defence was protected properly. Second half we were the better team. Butterfield ran the show and we scored 3 good goals. A solid league one win based on doing the ugly stuff well and then taking advantage when the game opens up. OD - 7 not too many saves but he looked assured and his distribution was sensible Mellor - 7 was doing ok till he had to go off, predictably injured Woods - 7 see Mellor O-Connor 8 - proper defending for a change NKP - 6 did his job for the most part Akpan - 7 used the ball well, good positionally, just a bit of a pussy for a guy built like a brick shit house LOB - 8 did what he does best Butterfield - 9 championship class Anderson - 6 blowing out of his Arse after 30 mins then found a second wind. Steady, job for the team Ball - 8 so much better up front Doyle - benefitted from having a partner. Some really good linkplay and a good finish Maybe slightly generous, it was just good to see a simple, effective, team based plan with a team ethic. I also thought we were better second half, which shows Bowyer is able to adapt tactically to combat what he’s seen in the first half

Encouraging stuff. Especially the using players properly and no hoofball parts. It’s startig to looks like HopkinS was Edin’s parting gift.

Players throwing themselves in front of shots and getting blocks in, very satisfying. Noticed doyle said afterwards Bowyer 'has put a smile back on everyones faces' or something - thankfully Hopkin isn't around to be a cunt to them anymore and they might look forward to games.

Wasn't it good to see Bowyer out there communicating with the players? He actually looked engaged with the players and the game in a way that I've not seen in a long time. Good performance today, shame Mellor went off as the goal kick to him out wide was working very well. Thought they all did well, special mention to Butterfield who looked like Paynes bigger, harder, better brother. Anderson also had an effective game for his first start. I know it's early but I'm more hopeful now.

Just seen the highlights on sky and their goal was never a penalty either. Even at 3 up with not long left we had about 4 or 5 players screaming at the ref. Good to see a bit of pride in keep8ng the clean sheet even when the game was already won

Did anyone go? Any chance of some ratings? How was Butterfield? Bowyer’s tactics? I’ve only got gomper-infested Twitter and PRNK Pulse to rely on so would appreciate some more objective commentary. O'Donnell -7- solid when called upon, great save from a deflection in the 2nd half. Caddis -7- standard caddis, got forward well and snappy in the tackle. impressed with his distribution as well, used the ball intelligently a few times. O'Connor -7- v good performance today, showed good strength on a few occasions. NKP - 6 solid enough but always has at least one moment of sheer dumbfuckery per game. needs a good centre half alongsid hime to bring out the best in him/ keep his brain switched on. Chicksen -6- had a solid game today. didnt get skinned and put the occasional decent ball forward. couple of ffs chicksen moments but nothing terrible really. Anderson -6- nothing flashy but did the simple stuff well. looked absolutely fooked by the end though Akpan -7- it turns out he can be intimidating and boss a midfield, finally stopped impersonating a timid 8 year old girl. LOB -7- great energy and linked akpan/ butterfield well. decentgoal as well. Butterfield -8- played like a championship midfielder in a league one game. technically a clear cut above this level. Doyle -6- still a bit shit but full marks for his goal as he still had a fair bit to do when the ball came to him. always looks like hes gonna do something dangerous only to do something silly like fall over the ball. Ball -7- good quick feet, enjoyed his little flick in the 2nd half. a constant nuisance. woods - evidently made of the same glass as scannell. looked decent before that but i honestly felt we played better once he went off. mellor - not enough time to influence the game but looked ok before the injury. clarke - not enough time to really do anything but got about and had a bit of a snap at them. clearly loves playing here which hopefully will rub off on the other lads who might not have had such a good time at VP. Tactically spot on today, Bowyer making me feel v smug for supporting his appointment by immediately realising hoofing it long to a team of slow midgets borders on lunacy. Posh didnt look a bad side, they were well organised and looked dangerous on occasion but we largely made them look v average today. Totally contained any threat they did pose.well done big g As for the referee, im fairly sure he stopped the game to go and lick some windows at one point. gave them everything even for a city game and the penalty was a total joke. 2/10 because he had the right colour kit on and his vanishing spray worked The atmosphere today went dead for a bit but once we got the goal it felt a bit like the old times when we weren't so abject. All in all, was well nice coming to a game and not feeling massively depressed afterwards
