Don’t want to bring things back onto a downer after a 4-0 home win but what’s happening with this? In all the talk of the turd getting flushed it never got a mention. I was expecting it to start being talked about as it all came out in the wash but nothing.
Everyone’s rejoicing but Edin’s not gone until he no longer owns a share of our club.

As I understand it the deal is in place it's just complicated to sort out because of the holding company and the way that bastard has structured things. I'm sure Dennis could tell us the normal delays in transfer of this and if Rupp will be setting up a new company to do it

I can't relax until he's completely gone and it's official.

I posted a few weeks ago that 3 things had to happen before we can say we're really shut of Rahic
1. To resign from his exec roles of Chairman and CEO at VP 2. To resign as a director at the three City companies 3. To sell his shareholding in the German HoldCo.
So far he has done #1!
He could easily have done 2 but hasn't. And I suspect that is something to do with his bargaining position on #3
I'm sure he and Rupp are discussing #3 but that rests on the two of them agreeing a price for Rupp to buy Rahic's shares. I suspect also there is still some wrangling to be done over Rahic's redundancy from his CEO role.
It will be further complicated by one of Rupp's companies having loaned Rahic something around €1mill for him to buy the shares originally. That will take a bit of time to untangle especially if either want to play hard ball or if Rupp believes the current values of the shares are less than what they originally paid for the club! Since I believe they overpaid for the club, that will be a problem if Rupp has now realised this also!
Once a financial deal has been agreed for the shares, and it's Rupp who is buying Rahic's shares, everything else can then happen quickly. The German HoldCo itself isn't an issue. It's not an unusual structure. The two big issues are agreeing a price for the shares and unravelling the agreement with Rupp's company's loan. A deal might already have been agreed between the two of them but I doubt that very much. And it won't be finalised until these two issues have been sorted out.

There's a slim possibility that this is true but there is nothing at the German equivalent of Companies House which gives any credence to this particular rumour.

I can see that being the sort of deal a man with Rahic’s ludicrously inflated self confidence might sign.
It’d be great if it were true.

It might also explain why he was paying himself a very attractive salary and employing family members on similar amounts of money, if the rumours were true. (I'm refraining from commenting any further as I'm starting to sound as rivetting as that über bore on Bronco Talk.)

As wierd as it sounds, if (and it's a big if) we stay up this season then a relegation battle is the best thing that could have happened to us. Rahic would no doubt still be here if we were midtable and he'll still have his fair share of support from the fans.

He still had his fair share of support despite the evidence in front our dim-witted fanbase's eyes so midtable would've been gomper heaven.

Which is exactly why so many City fans found ourselves wanting us to lose - end the madness before it got too far. It’ll be nice being able to fully get behind the lads ffs again.

The attitude towards Rahic in the summer was a little odd. Most accepted he'd made a catalogue of errors and yet very few were calling for his head "give him a chance to put it right" was the general consensus if i remember correctly. The Gompers briefly turned when he'd taken 6 weeks to appoint Collins and even that was shortly followed by the usual bollocks "look how the Jewell appointment turned out" "Gerrard and Lampard aren't proven either" etc etc. Ironically, the same cunts who wanted us to give Rahic a chance couldn't wait to give themselves a pat on the back when he eventually departed.
We've got to have the weirdest set of fans out there.

I stopped giving a fucking shit about the club - as it had that cunts grubby finger prints all over it. Now he's gone, I am feeling more inclined to start going again - but I've got to say, it's a habit you get out of, especially with the shitty weather and the teams dire form (apart from of late). Rahic has a lot to answer for. The club could do with some full on pointy-shoed marketing to get as many cunts like me back behind the lads FFS. A good flushing of Rahic's turds in January will probably seal the deal for me, in which case normal gomping could resume soon.

Agree with all that. There was no real anti Rhahic voices en masse in public (VP) with the few that did getting shot down. I'm still in shock with the Collins appointment.

Nicked from the other channel, courtesy of Mr W Whaler:
I can confirm that Stefan Rupp is now the 100% owner of ER Sportsgroup GmbH and that Edin Rahic no longer has any involvement as either Managing Director or Shareholder.
Double celebration tonight!
